_Anthony Romano - This is his history. This project draws in from all his previous projects and bands. The 31 yr. old singer/songwriter is a native of Old Bridge, NJ, and has dreamed of a life of music since he first picked up his saxaphone when he was 9 yrs. old.
The music that he breathes is an exact reflection of his life, trials, and joys. It is (like him ) brooding and solem, yet fun and inspiring.
Along with the sax, Anthony has accumilated a small arsenal of instruments to entice with. Piano, drums, percussion, and of course guitar round out his list. One of the best rhythm guitar players around, his solidity allows him to play along with anybody to any style and increases his coordination while simultaneously singing and playing. "In the pocket" is an understatement.
.. _Matt Michael - Long time friend and "brother", he is the proverbial stick of dynamite. He keeps the drive alive. Also a native of Old Bridge, NJ, it has been an 18 yr. partnership in music and life, between Matt and Anthony. Band lessons, marching band, concert and jazz bands...these two have seen it thru together since the begining. Co-Founder of his & Anthony's first band Nemesis of Desire, which later tweaked it's line-up and became Morbid Anatomy, they definitely drew on Thrash and Death Metal. And for a couple of teen "bad asses", these two rocked hard and loud. Though Anthony took a more bluesy-hard rock path, Matt stayed the course with Metal. Growing with it...breathing it. But he never forgets his roots in jazz, drum line, and classic rock.
Drummer and Percusionist extaordinaire, he plays hard and he plays mean. Fast and loud then subtle and rich with technique, his drumming skills are almost unparaleled.
Matt picked up a pair of drum sticks at age 9, and hasn't put them down since. Well...there was that stint in the Marines, but if you thought he was crazy before hand, he's a whole lot crazier since. Life and music are literally the same word for the 31 yr. old . You can see and hear Matt's darker more sadistic side playing in his other Staten Island-based band, Wrath of Killenstein at http://www.killenstein.com.
_Tim Roche - Tim is the newest member to PRIDE (all be it honorary, since as of now he only plays 75 % of our set and hasn't layed down a track. But that'll change soon). Ironically he's also a PRIDE alumni. Confused? Don't be. We played with Tim years back in our Thrash Metal band "Morbid Anatomy". Tho, then he played bass, and killer bass player he was. Funny thing was he played better guitar (and still does) than the 3 of us guitarists that were playing at the time, but hey...we needed a bass player. (And yes, we had 3 guitarists..what of it...lol)
Tim resides in our home town of Old Bridge, NJ and is a profound guitarist and back up vocalist. It's amazing that he ALLOWS us to allow him to play with us. He's been strokin' an axe since he was knee-high-to-a-grasshopper and hasn't stopped yet. Since "Morbid" he's been in several bands, culminating to his latest project "Mindslide", which is his full-time commitment.
When not playing, Tim is guitar teacher.
We're glad to have Tim back alongside of us. It's like an old pair of jeans...familiar and comfortable.
