It's been almost ten years since Karina discovered that being a dj would be one of the coolest things she could do in her life.Her first gigs were when she was only 14. Playing at school parties and small gatherings with her friends. Her sound by then was more focused on Euro Dance, Euro beat, house and garage. By 1998, she was 16 then, checking records at a small shop she discovered a special one, the one that totally made her change her style of music. It was Marco Carola, Hypertension EP. Since then, her sound became more techno. Following almost the same line she bought records of Gaetano Parisio, Christian Smith, Ben Sims and Adam Beyer among others.In 2001 she played first time outside. It was at the well known Club Amsterdam. That night only women ruling the party. She shared controlls with great djs of the scene, among them there was Paloma Quick aka Kinaytra, current owner of the label "Random Dynamics" together with Alexi Delano.
This party was her prompt to start playing everywhere. by then she used to play with Cds. later cds plus vynils and finally just vynils.Between 2001 and 2003 there were many gigs around Santiago. Among them, we can highlight Discotheque Blondie, one of the biggest of Santiago, Club El Dorado, Residency at Club El Forestal, Club Arena, the biggest of the commune of Peñaflor, Rave El Bosque, Rave Peñaflor and so on.By 2004 Almost every person living in Santiago had heard about this girl. always good considered as her mixing style, music and beauty never dissapointed anyone.By 2005 she started working with D&E productions. They suggested her to start a tour travelling across some areas outside Santiago. Obviuosly she said "yes!". Then started "Tour Ibiza", where she covered many towns as Colina (Midnight Discotheque ), Til Til ( Montaña Discotheque ), Lampa (Entre Torres Discotheque ). Later by the name of "Elektro Tour" she covered Peñaflor (Arena Discotheque ), El Monte (Highlander Discotheque ), Buin (Tempo Discotheque, Rosario (Ex Fabrica), Pichidegua (Gioco Discotheque), etc.By the end of 2005, Bc Records at Venezuela, contacted Karina for a gig at Valencia. So she packed up her records and clothes and went to play to the New Year party there “Over 2005â€. Just two days after arriving there she read her name in the line up of Love Parade 2006, she'd been confirmed for one of the greatest parties at Chile.2006 has been a very busy year for this girl. Currently she’s working with D&E, and playing everywhere she’s called from.Few clubs she’s been to this year are : Pecado Capital, Bocaccio, New Fabrica(Rengo VI region), and just few weeks ago, in the south of Chile, Concepción, where she played at the best club of the area “592†.Now she’s getting ready for a new tour at Venezuela and other local gigs this month and rest of the year.
