Me, according to my wife:
John is from Colorado and he never tires of saying that the Rockies are nicer than the Alps (even though he's never been there). His passion for politics and policy have made him spend his better years at Tulane in New Orleans, and later in Austin (after having survived 2 years in San Francisco). He currently works for the Texas Legislature.
A few fun facts:
He's lived in all 4 US timezones at least twice. He has won the gold medal in the Olympic Games of Speed Chess in one of his dreams. He has won real trophies in reality, but he modestly hides them in a closet. He watches a lot of documentaries on paleontology. And geology. And astronomy. (but he is not a nerd). He has a car named "Charlene".

Good Texas BBQ (although a tragic crisis of conscience is pushing him in the vegitarian direction), the Longhorns, the Giants, fantasy baseball (roto only!), Emo's, chess, mountainbiking, snowboarding, tennis, Abraham Lincoln, Vince Young, Stanley Kubrick, Austin ("the promised land")...
He dislikes Cobras, Onions, Gerhard Schröder, badly timed traffic lights and Texas access roads, Michael Moore, Apple, The Salt Lick, being the first to jump in a pool, when Charlie the cat purrs in his ears at 5 am...
