I play. You listen. That's how it fuckin' works.

About Me

Once upon a time I was in a band. I was the singer, despite the fact that I couldn't sing, and none of the other people in the band could play their instruments! But technical ability really doesn't matter if all that you care about is having fun, and for a while that's all we cared about....Now I play solo on acoustic guitar, happy to write my songs and play at my local pubs and open mic nights etc. After I left the band (got kicked out!!) I couldn't stop myself from writing lyrics (a combination of creativity and catharsis I suppose) and humming melodies but my problem being I could barely connect two chords on my guitar. And so I started playing and learning obsessively and gradually getting better and writing more and more songs. That brings us roughly three years later to now. For some reason I've deemed my music worthy of the public domain and I have it in my head that people will actually bother to listen to my songs. I suppose if you're reading this then you're listening to one now, I hope you like it. Goodbye.

Blues song - disclaimer

Being a fan of the blues I know full well that this measly offering I've knocked up here is more like a bad parody of the blues rather than a good bluesy song. I seem to have fingerpicked it like a fo...

Sunny Tuesday, no blues today

A sunny day at last. Lifts the spirits and dissipates the blues, for a little while anyway. Also I was standing at the cemetery gates earlier today, but not waiting to meet Morrisey unfortunately. Loo...

Bert Jansch - Blues Run The Game

I love this song and in particular Bert's version. I've got a bad case of the blues at the moment and this song says it all really. I saw Bert a few years ago playing at the Jazz Cafe in Camden and th...
