Ehrm... after I totally gave up sports at the age of twelve, my interests have more or less circulating around different forms of amusement. Restaurant culture is close to my heart, but on sober moments I find great pleasure in literature, movies ,contemporary art an photography in particular (although I myself could not take a good picture [that is one without my finger in it] to save my life). I also have a great love for dancing, even though my days as a pro hip hop- dancer are long lost..but I can still shake it. In the end though, there is nothing like the company of good friends and family.
When it comes to tunes I..m quite open minded. The only thing I have problems with is heavy electronic music. At home mostly hip hop, soul and folk pumps out of my stereo. Favourites are classics like Joni Mitchell, The Beatles, Janis Joplin and Tracy Chapman. Newer ones are Floetry, India Arie, Phoenix, Air, Zero 7, Erykah Badu, german rapper Max Herre and random finnish and swedish shit.
Although few have outnumbered Tarantino, my favourite two movies have to be Boondock Saints and korean thriller Oldboy. Anything with a lot of psychology and shooting is a winner, and chick flicks are an absolut nono (apart from on some tragically hung over cheesy days).
In movies and books I may be fond of intellectual stuff, but when it comes to TV, I..m a sucker for everything brainless. Reality TV is a gift from god and MTV show the creme de la creme of that genre. British comedy is still even better, and I am guaranteed not to ever miss a re- run of Absolutely Fabulous, Fawlty Towers or Keeping up Appearances.
Favourite book ever is Paolo Coelhos By the river Piedra I sat down and wept. The Russian masters never stop intriguing me and every time I feel bad I pick up my copy of The Little Prince.
Cliché as it might be my top hero is my mum, Ron Jeremy following as a close second ;-)
