Rock Lobster

Like, since the mid-90's, Rock Lobster has been totally rocking Arizona with all the best New Wave from the 80's, the most decadent decade ever. It all started for this quintet with their common desire to make live music fun to see, hear, and dance to. There was this giant void in the live music scene. Sure, there were plenty of great original and cover bands around, but noone was paying tribute to the genre that started the whole 'Alternative' movement. Of course, in order to faithfully pay homage to the whole New Wave movement, both a male and female vocalist would be vital. Like, how can you leave out The Go-Go's, Pat Benetar, and Berlin or Billy Idol, Dexy's Midnight Runners, and Rick Springfield, let alone covering the B-52's. So, Stephanie and Tim switch off between singing leads and playing keyboards and singing back-ups. It has been one of the main ingredients that have contributed to the band's success. Rock Lobster also knew that they would have to grow and evolve the song list and dress the part. So, they continue to learn songs and rotate them into the shows. The early look of the band had Stephanie wearing various garb from the era, and the guys wearing plastic hair and black suits with skinny red ties, but the wardrobe has changed drastically over the years and now incorporates plastic pants and lots of make-up for both the guys and Stephanie.
