Dat Boy Is So Thowed

About Me

J-TOTER came back to Richmond, VA. in 96 after living in Houston where he developed his art and love, not only for rap but for music all together. His fascination of the street life and greed for money directed him to gang bangin in the streets of Houston which lead to numerous times of incarceration. One day, J-TOTER woke up and realized that this was not the answer to living and focused his frustration not towards others but to write them down on paper and express his life that way. Tragedy struck again and J-TOTER was sent back to jail for the last time, so he thought. His mother believed it would be best that he go live with his Aunt in Richmond,VA. for awhile til he got his act together and there, J-TOTER met several local artist who helped him drop such underground mixtapes such as, Southern Thugs The Compilation, J-TOTER Follow My Lead and J-TOTER Grindin N Shinin. Those mixtapes gained him respect throughout the streets of Richmond, not only for his lyrical content, but his devotion to bring the artist of Richmond together due to the circumstances of hatred between Richmond artist. He then caught the attention of CEO's of Punchline Entertainment with a buzz from those previous mixtapes and reaction from a fanbase that emerged quickly throughout North and South Richmond. Punchline Entertainment then wanted him to start on a mixtape for their debut as a label but J-TOTER was arrested for possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, possession of a vest and ammunition in which the Feds were able to pick up the charges. He went to trial and was found not guilty for the three felonys, but was found guiltyfor possession of marijuana which placed him on house arrest but was able to complete his long awaited mixtape, The Art Of Dying. Look for further projects by J-TOTER in the near future like the follow up mixtape, CandyCoated Lyrics which leads to his debut album. This is one artist that is making his way to the forefront of the game in Richmond, Va.

Influences:Coming up, I was influenced by My Lord and Savior first of all. You must place the Lord first in your life always. As far as rappers, Too Short, NWA, Tupac of course, Scarface, D-Nice, and majority of Houston rappers. I also like Yukmouth, Rappin $ Tay, and a few more Bay Area rappers...
Sounds Like: Sounds Like A Houston Rapper Lives In VA. Nobody in Richmond has my lyrical content or knows about the South the way I do. You can talk like you from the Dirty South but being Southern is more than a part of town you live on. I'm SouthernMade. Watch and listen on how my style is duplicated throughout Richmond. Sounds like I put the South in VA. Tell em holla back.
