I truly do take a sick amount of pleasure in cleaning. I enjoy quality time with family and friends. Random social chemistry with strangers fascinates me. I adore strong hugs. With out good music I would be miserable. Now that I have started staying at home I have begun cooking and baking again and I love it! I have decided to begin a list of what I feel are small personal accomplishments. This is a list of what I have successfully cooked or baked thus far since I have been a stay-at-home-mom (be aware that anything that begins with the word 'Malia's' is the best-my mother is the world champion of cooks/bakers-I kid you not): Turkey Meatball Stroganoff, New York Style Cheesecake, Malia's Chocolate Chip Cookies, Malia's Almond Cookies, Peanut Butter Cookies, and Short Bread Wedges. I have made a commitment to myself to bake and cook from scratch more so this list will continue to grow :) hopefully. A few of the other things I have begun to dable in are oragmi, chinese water color painting, and now a bit of cross stitching thanks to my sister-in-law Charity. What I hope to be proud of soon is the shoulder piece I still plan on doing for myself.
Some one with my same first and last name...but I do not think she exists. What about someone I have met before that I may never meet again? Ok how about this-anyone, other than my husband and my two kids, that can make me laugh. That is worth a lot to me.
Oh Vince Vaughn...how I love thee...
Where do I begin with this category? I mean seriously. Let's start with Radiohead...
Anything with Daniel Day Lewis. My heart will always have a special place for "The Family Stone". Too many indie films to mention. Watch out for "Shortbus" just when you think you have seen it all this film will make you stop dead in your tracks. I am not recommending this film-I would say less that 2% of people I know are ready for it. Who reads this part of people's myspace accounts anymore anyway?
Six Feet Under and Sex and the City stand in my top shows so far. Truth be told I am a sucker for "What not to Wear" and I never miss an episode of "The Sarah Silverman Program"-other than that I keep hoping for new episodes of "Penn & Teller's Bull Shit". Recently Nick and I began watching more shows on the Discovery Channel...Survivorman and Man Vs. Wild are so interesting. The newest addition...HGTV!!!! Love it!
I am happy to say I recently finished "Letter to a Christian Nation"...very interesting.
Mothers and fathers of all ages that do all they can to love, protect and support their children.
