trust me, I do this all the time

About Me

Always up for it. Whatever it is. Adventure, mischief, self-discovery, new friends, old friends...
I'm pretty simple though.
I live to play. Not that I don't work, I work harder than most people I know. There's reason though and at the end of the day it's the people and the experiences. I try to experience as much as I can, and I try to bring people along with me too. I think most experiences, no matter how great they are, are kind of a loss if not shared with someone.
I love my friends. Anyone who knows me can tell you friends and family are most important to me. All the crazy things I get into always include my friends.
I'm very active and have lots of energy. I'm really into rock climbing, cooking, travelling... I've studied martial arts since I was little, I need a new running partner, love to travel.
Avoiding danger is no safer than direct exposure. Life is either a great adventure or nothing at all
-Helen Keller
The important thing is to be able at any moment to sacrifice what we are for what we could become. -Charles du Bois

My Interests

I love being outdoors, play in the park, etc. I'm big into sport climbing and kayaking during the dry months, and really into snowboarding in the winter.
I also love to travel, it's one of my big passions. I usually leave the country at least once a year.
Road trips are great too! Even if it's only 30mins away I'm up for it.
I love photography, just being able to capture an angle or a perspective. You can see some of my photos in my profile pics. Need to get serious and get a decent camera.
I've always been into design from graphic to architecture and do a little of both. I'm slowly learning to play my guitar. I'm not great, but I can play a few you'd recognize. I've studied martial arts since I was little, and still love it.

I'd like to meet:

Friends. People anywhere. I love meeting new people. I'm about connections and adventures and chance meetings and occasions that otherwise might not have occured.

I'm not really looking for a hook up.
I love to have fun, but I want someone who really gets me
'till then, I need people to go play with!

Message me. Let's get coffee sometime

Music:

I like most music. As with anything there's ones I like and some I don't in every genre. I like a lot of alternative, classical, techno, rock, jazz, Chopin, Schubert, U2, Dave Matthews, Paul Oakenfold, Collective Soul, Jack Johnson, Linkin Park, Evanessence, Crystal Method, Prodigy, Coldplay, Donna Lewis, matchbox twenty, Big Wreck, Theivery Corp., Lifehouse, Killers, Green Day, Gotan Project, Otis Redding, Norah Jones...
I'm a big U2 fan.

..

Movies:

On my all time favorite list... so many good ones to choose from... Thomas Crown Affair, Dead Poet's Society (easily in my top 3), Sahara, Second Hand Lions, Braveheart, White Squall, Big Fish, I'm also a big fan of just about anything John Cusack- Loved High Fidelity, Must Love Dogs, Gross Point Blank, Better Off Dead, etc. Ocean's 11/12, The Italian Job, Bourne Identity, Before Sunrise/Before Sunset...

Television:

I'm not a big TV fan, mostly because I always have something I'd rather do. Also because I haven't bothered to get cable hooked up. When I do watch it's the Food Network (love to cook), Travel Channel, and I'm always getting sucked into something on Discovery or the History Channel. The TV is mostly around for watching movies. I've been on a Blockbuster Pass lately and it's great. Although recently I'm getting hooked on these shows on DVD; just got the last season of 24, Firefly, and a couple others. It's always great to pop some popcorn and sit down with friends and a good movie.

Books:

There's a few I'm currently reading; I've got a couple C.S.Lewis Books, Mere Christianity, Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance, The Essential Calvin & Hobbes, and Rainbow Six by Tom Clancy
There are so many on my list. I love to read though. They seem to pile up on my shelf before I can get to the next one. Even in spite of that I love to read. Just finished "On Intelligence" by Jeff Hawkins, Anything by Max Lucado, Seeds of Greatness by Dennis Waitley. I'm also really enjoying Clive Cussler's books; I want to be Dirk Pitt when I grow up. :)
