My Interests

I like to listen to music more than watching television. I like to drive around and get lost in new places, with the windows down and the radio up. I love adventure and being spontaneous in life. Life is just too short and so I'm a person who likes to try almost anything atleast once. I love to read my textbooks and yes I'm a nerd. I still feel like I am in the 80's, as you can see I love music from that time. In my opinion the older music is the best, it just seems like their was more heart and meaning in it. I probably would tease my hair up like I was still in 88 if I could get away with it, but I'm not that obsessed LOL I'm actually very versatile, I like all kinds of music. I am a sucker for diversity. I love to be around people from different walks of life. It's interesting to learn about them and compare/contrast. I'm curious about many things so I'm constantly asking questions, sometimes stupid ones LOL. Some people find it hard to believe I'm an actual brunette, because I can be a total air head!! There are many different layers to me, hopefully you will get to see the nice ones!

I am recently starting to enjoy some 70's music. I love fleetwood mac and Pink Floyd, STEVIE NICKS IS THA SHIT! :) Basically the only music that I don't like is bluegrass and most classical. Other than that, it mostly depends on the mood in which I find myself. Whatever suits my mood is good with me.

Movies:

I'm not a big movie buff, but when I get in the mood to watch a good movie, it is usually something I have seen over a dozen times and goes with the way I'm feeling at that moment. Like if i need an uplift I might go rent a badass movie that depicts people overcoming adversity. Or if I'm in the mood to laugh and chill out I may go rent some MOniQue--Stand up, or some Dave Chappelle---these tend to do the trick.

Television:

I still find myself watching reruns of Roseanne on a nightly basis. That show never grows old, still as funny since the first time I saw it. I'm a huge discovery, history, and A&E buff. It's always cool to learn something new. Even though I rarely watch television, these are the programs that catch my interest.

Books:

My sister has become my resource for finding most recreational books. I prefer reading my textbooks over anything, most of them blow my mind.I read an awesome book about a month ago written by Viktor Frankl, who happens to be one of the few survivors of the Holocaust. He was a psychologist of "LogoTherapy", aka..existentialism. Very interesting book, I couldn't stop turning the pages. It's called " Man's Search for Meaning". I thorougly enjoyed this book, to read about how this man found courage and strength in such tragic circumstances really makes you evaluate your own life in ways you never thought possible. And since my interest consist of psychology and philosophy it was very intriguing to me. Everyone should read this book though, no matter what interests you, after reading this book you are bound to gain something from it.
