Influences: When I was a kid, my favorite band was the Beetles. I started taking classical guitar lessons when I was 8. Whenever I wasn't playing sheet music, I tried to emulate Dire Straits' Mark Knopfler and Pink Floyd's David Gilmour. These guitarists/ bands probably influenced me the most early on. Later and current favorites include the Cure, Sting, the Police, U2, Genesis, Peter Gabriel, Rush, John Mayer, Alanis Morissette, Live, Linkin Park, Coldplay, the Deftones, as well as many classical composers and jazz artists. Among my current local favorites are Matthew Perryman Jones, Landon Pigg, Jeremy Lister, The Gabe Dixon Band, David Mead, Katie Herzig, Kate York, AutoVaughn, and Tyler James.
