I am here for Friends

About Me

I'm a 21 year old Iowa State student, working in Charleston, West Virginia for Dow Chemical on a co-op from January - May 5th, 2006. Working is a nice break from school. Actually having free time rocks! I'm keeping myself busy between break dancing, working on my solo bass set (which is interesting and going well), working out, chillaxin' and traveling around the east coast and to Costa Rica in mid-February.Video code provided by HotCodez.com
This (above video) is "Ageless Beauty" by the Canadian sensation band called Stars. That's what I'm talking about!

My Interests

Bboy-ing (break dancing), busting mad baby freezes and L-kicks, playing bass and guitar and harmonica. Listening to live music in downtown Charleston as there's not too much to do in this state's capital. I acquired the knowledge of salsa dancing last spring and don't intend to lose my skills anytime soon. I also love getting amongst lots of Chipotle burritos and plan to do this again the next time I see a Chipotle.

I'd like to meet:

Bassists and break dancers from around the globe

Music:

I have many favorite artists and bands, to name a few: Stars, Sondre Lerche, 311, G. Love and Special Sauce, Death Cab for Cutie, Postal Service, Coldplay, Incubus, k-os, The Bravery, Kaiser Cheifs, Bloc Party, Snow Patrol, Soulive, Lettuce, Doves, Dashboard Confessional, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Muse, Radiohead, Phoenix, Ambulance LTD, Juanes, Lorenzo Sweat Band, Sleeping At Last, and many more...

Movies:

Garden State, The Shawshank Redemption, LOTR series, Harry Potter Series, and the version of Roots starring Dave Chapelle

Television:

Seinfeld, Curb Your Enthusiasm and Family Guy. Other than sports, that's pretty much all I watch.

Books:

Me Talk Pretty Some Day by David Sedaris, The Harry Potter series and Lemony Snicket's Series of Unfortunate Events

Heroes:

Flea of Red Hot Chili Peppers, and P-Nut of 311 for their exquisite bass playing talent and inspiration.
