Two days after graduating high school, I sent myself off to be one of the few, the proud. Did that for about 5 years and overall it was an OK experience. Got to see and do some stuff I’ll never do again. Best part was the travel, the worst was the games played –i.e. hurry up and wait, can only travel so far on the weekend, listen to me because I out rank you, etc, etc, etc.
While stationed in Yuma, Arizona, I met a sweet-thang, and married her roughly 5 years later. We just had our first child in January, and I must say Fatherhood is the best feeling in the world! These two people are my purpose in life and reason for being who I am today.
After I got out of the service, I took a job at China Lake, California while I tried to figure out what to do with my life. Well, 4 years later, I still live in China Lake –but at least I have somewhat of a plan now.
I finally graduated from Embry-Riddle. Took me only 2 1/2 years for my B.S. I had basically no life outside of family, school, & work. And we now have another baby on the way, due early July. **UPDATE** WE JUST FOUND OUT... IT'S A BOY!! Time to get his room started. Should I go with 'Guns & Ammo' or 'Motorcycles' as the theme? Ahh, the decisions to be made...
After taking off 6 months, I am back in school for some Graduate work. It's been a hard transition back. Course load is half what it was before (thank GOD), but workload is about the same. For some reason, they expect more from you at this level!!
For all MyFriends out there, I am not on here much. I don't want you to think I am rude to you on purpose. I spend 9-10 hours a day with my face glued to 2 computers with a phone in my ear. So when I come home, the LAST thing I want to do are get on another computer or answer the phone. Besides, I've got my baby girl to be playing with!!
