About Me

This page is best viewed in Internet Explorer.
I was born and raised in Texas, transplanted to Hawaii for a couple of years after my daughter was born, and then on to California (San Francisco Bay Area) where I've spent the majority of my adult life, but now I'm back home in Texas.
I'm very happily married to a wonderful man. We've been married three years, and never in my wildest dreams did I ever think I could be this happy, and this in love with someone. We take care of each other, and he spoils me rotten, I want for absolutely nothing. In November of 2004, he purposed to me during a good old Texas thunderstorm, down on his knees in the poring rain. With my love of thunderstorms, that was the most perfect romantic moment. On April 16th, 2005 we were married.
If you would like to know the story behind the romance, read
"The Beginning of A Dream Come True"
I have a passion for cooking. I grew up learning to cook the old fashioned way, making everything from scratch, and I still cook that way today. Being able to be creative in the kitchen and put a home cooked meal on the table, brings me a much joy. I write a lot of my own recipes, and would love to publish a cook book. I'm in the process of becoming a home based travel agent. Even though I don't need to work, my hubby and I love to travel, so this will be a great advantage. I also love to do graphics and web page design. I make a lot of my own graphics, and do all of my own HTML and CSS, and I'm working on learning Java.
My screen name comes from a poem that was written for me, almost ten years ago. When the person who wrote it died that same year, I started using it as my email address as a way to honor his memory. Later I began using it for my screen name around the Internet. Most everyone around the net, know me as Immortal Princess or Cinnamon Girl. If you would like to know anything else about me, pretty much everything you would ever want to know, is in my blogs.

My Interests

I love everything to do with the paranormal, especially vampires. I also love taking three hour bubble baths, writing poetry, and website and graphics design. (not all at the same time)

I have a very large porcelain doll collection and some vinyls, my favorites are the life size babies. I would have to say that cooking is my true passion, I absolutely love it. Some day I would love to write a cook book.

Scents

I love perfume, smelling nice is a big thing with me.My favorite thing to wear is Calvin Kline's "Escape". It's one of those perfumes that mixes so well with my body chemistry, that strangers will come up to me and tell me I smell nice.

I also love to wear "Vanilla Lace" from Victoria's Secret. I use the full line of bath and body care, as well as the perfume. My new scent obsession is "Black Raspberry Vanilla" from Bath And Body Works.

I'd like to meet:

I make friends very easily, and I love meeting new people. Some day I would love to meet some of the people I know online. Many of them are scattered all over the world, so it makes getting together rather difficult. Some of them I have known for several years though, so if I ever get the chance to travel to the countries they live in, I will be looking them up.

Movies:

Sci-Fi, horror, action adventure, psychological thrillers, and some drama and comedies.
I don't do chick flicks.I am a big Stephan King fan, I think I've seen every movie he's made. My favorite is "The Stand".

The last movie I watched in the theater was "Prom Night". The Last movie I watched on DVD was "Man On Fire".

Television:

My taste in TV shows is a lot like my taste in movies. I don't watch sitcoms, or cartoons. Barry and I have a subscription to Netflix, so right now we are watching TV shows by the series. We are currently watching Stephen King's "Battlestar Galactica".
Some of my favorite TV shows are.....
House MD, Law And Order SVU, Stargate SG1 amd Atlantis, Buffy The Vampire Slayer, Angel, The X Files, and cooking shows on The Food Network.

Games

I love playing card games, it's how Barry and I spent our nights during our early dating relationship. So the now worn out deck of cards we used, has a lot of sentiment.
One of my favorite card games is a French game called "Mille Bornes". It doesn't hurt that I married into a card games playing family either. I've always loved poker, and Barry's family hooked me on "Texas Holdem" There's a tournament at every major family gathering.
They also taught me to play a game called "Hand And Foot", which is a lot like "Canasta".
Whenever we get together with Barry's best friend, we play a game called "Five Crowns".

Books:

In recent years I've read all of Anne Rice's "Vampire Chronicles". I've also read a book called "Little Girls In Pretty Boxes", dealing with the ugliness behind the scenes of competitive figure skating, and gymnastics.

Most of the books in my book collection are cook books, although I don't use them much anymore, because these days just about any recipe you want, you can find it online.
