What can I say about myself? Hmmmm, that’s a good one?. Never really could talk about myself, so here I go…
I am a self taught artist and have received many awards and accomplishment for my art starting in pre-school. Since then, which has been an obvious while now, things have changed in my aspect of art. I have worked in every medium known in the art world until I literally stumbled onto Pyrography. Woodburning, in “lamens†terms, is an old style of art that has diminished over time. Not very many people do it, nor do other artists know about it. So, here’s my chance to “re-introduce†everyone to what I get to do for a living! I retired from the horse industry in February of 2006, too physical for me anymore, my body is way too beat up… 23 years of doing it for cryin’ out loud!! Had enough! I have wanted to do my art full time and just get to ride a horse whenever I wanted to and now I am. I do personal pieces along with items for my-self. I have a HUGE oak table waiting to become something really cool..I'm not telling;) But, fortunately for me, I am booked until June already and I can only do 1 at a time. One piece I recently finished really got me going. We went to a Stargate Convention in Secaucus, NJ on Nov 3-5, and they had a center piece contest. So, I made my own gate. Some people liked it enough that they want on. But, unfortunately I don’t do reproductions. I get sick of doing things twice and I like the one-of-a-kind deals. At least you would be the only one to have it. I So as you can see, these things don’t exactly happen overnight.
So, in ending this “biography†I will leave you at this, and not to rub it in or anything, but yes… I get to stay home all day, work in my jammies if I want to, which I mostly do wake up when I want to, and get to go out and do what I need to with out having to take time off work or ask!!!
