I have a wonderful mother, two great brothers and one sexy husband who is in the Army and is deployed in Iraq until September of 2009. I love my family, furbabies included, of course, with all of my heart. I've been a vegan since 2000 , a diabetic since I was thirteen years old, an animal activist, and a loving guardian of 6 furbabies. Bacon is a 16 year old pot-bellied pig who weighs at least 300 pounds, my brother got him for my mom for Mother's day because my mom loves pigs. Giggles, and Spike are 12 year olds Chow mixes who we rescued from an abusive owner when they were only 3 months old, their sister, Pickles passed away on April 16, 2008, the jackass owners left their mother along with her 4 puppies without any food or water while they went to Mexico on vacation for two weeks. Their mother passed away, I regret to this day not jumping the fence and rescuing the mother, but I thought the law was going to help me. I give her puppies a wonderful life everyday in her memory. Nugget is a 15 year old Chihuahua who was dumped in my mom's front yard 3 in the morning two years ago because she has Epilepsy and the idiots didn't want to take care of her anymore. She's my little princess.(Nugget passed away on my birthday, March 13, 2008, and I still miss her like crazy). Coco is a 4 year old Pit Bull who was thrown over my mom's back yard when she was only a month old. She's our little angel who is scared of so many things. We believe the asses that dumped her, fought Pit Bulls. Those are the ones that should be thrown in jail and executed, not sweet, innocent Pitties like Coco. Rusty is a 5 year old Beagle or like me and my mom like to call him, Bagel, lol. He belong to a couple that me and my husband met in Alabama where he was stationed for awhile. They kept him in a 4X4 cage for almost a year, and the husband would spray him with the hose and kick him. Thaumas is a 3 year old puppy who was whimpering on my mom's front porch. He wouldn't let me or my mom get near him for over 2 days because he was so scared. He was named after Iris, our 2 year, 10 month year old Sheltie/ Shetland who was hit by a car. Iris was named after the goddess: Iris, the goddess of the Rainbows. So every time we see a rainbow, it is like Iris is saying hello. And, Thaumas is a Greek God, he was Iris' father. We will always remember you Iris, our beloved guardian angel.In memory of our beautiful, sweet Sheltie, IRIS, who we will love and miss forever.
