About Me

Hi Newly having reached the big 50 I'm looking at life a little different now. Yes! the wonder is still in my eyes and the wish to do great things still hangs in my head. I'm happy being me and being here in this space and time. 50 brings with it new ideas and territories to explore. Yes! Indeed the mind is a little slower and the walk isn't as up beat as it used to be but the heart is bigger and the love is growing and patience well, let's just say it's not as willing as it used to be. I'm still a lover of the music that set the soul free. Jazz is still at 50 life and love. Singing is getting better and the choices are being made with more of a desire to please both the audience and most importantly myself. If I don't like what I'm producing then certainly the audience will not enjoy it. Thankfully, that has not happen and I hope that it will never. All in all life is good, music is still the wonder that makes men search for truth, and there is truth in the music. The thing's I'm doing is making my life happy. Corny, I know but it's truth.I'm a singer and poet that enjoys meeting people of like mindedness or just someone who's into the arts. Always looking to meet people who love art.Sang in New York with Lance Hayward Singers a 21 voice choir accompanied by Lance Hayward on piano, also played with Larry Ridley on bass, and Ed Thigpen on drums.Bill Lee's vocal choir The Family Tree Singers and a number of great musicians.Pamela Watson's vocal choir recorded 3 songs.Sang in Los Angeles with the Pasadena Jazz Choir with Glenn Carlos.Bobby Bradfords band at Pasadena city college. The most talented Dolores Petersen at the Comfort cafe, the M Bar and and at her new nvenue Hollywood Studio Bar & Grill in Hollywood and other venus.Performed with Jane Getz, Michael Bluestein, Wendy Ryan, Edwin Livingston, Ken Park and looking forward to the list growing. Each time you perform you add love and magic to the universe.Read poetry in alphabeth city with many of the poets of the city in the 80's and 90's.My father the late great Paul Chambers is one of the badest bass players of the time. If there was ever a man who was generous gracious and good that was my dad the man. Sang that for his spirit the last show I performed in at Hollywood Studio Bar & Grill. It was a great night.
