About Me

Born and raised on the mean streets of Reidsville, N.C., I am a proud graduate of the University of North Carolina (Go Heels!) For the past few years though, I've found myself working at UNC's basketball rival, NC State.
Before returning to my roots in the Tar Heel state, I put my journalism degree to use in various capacities at the U.S. Naval Academy, the University of Georgia, Georgia Tech and Sports Illustrated's Web site (SI.com).
I keep myself busy by taking classes at Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary and training for various road races and endurance events.
I finished my first marathon in January 2006, and I have a personal goal to run a marathon in every state. I'm calling it the 50-50-50 Challenge....50 marathons in 50 states by the time I'm 50. Technically, it's 51 marathons because I'm counting D.C. seperately, but 50-50-50 sounds better. Six down, 45 to go!
