About Me

the anna band is: john megill, vocals and guitar. rafi d, bass. alex deutsch, drums.sometimes it just takes time til you find the right people. first there was the girl. then came john megill singing so as to impress her. that started sometime in the summer 2002. the anna band started in spring 2007 because let's face it, you can get your point across a lot better with a good rythm section.i thought about borrowing some money and buying lots of hard- and software whatever and locking myself up in my homestudio until the perfect track was born. but frankly, she wouldn't have been impressed. and anyway the world is complicated enough. so the anna band is not.the real reason is probably even simpler: when a good rythm section finally comes along it tends to take you with it.

Sounds Like: i can't really say what it sounds like. fortunately my good friend dr goodfill d.e.r. drinker sent me the following: Singer/songwriter: Night. A typical Canadian Viennese with his friends Anna F. and Alex lost in the Canadian woods. A fireplace. John missing His Anna girl. Emotions arise. Been trying to get out of the woods for days now. John hitting the guitar strings violently. Alex grabs some woodsticks strarting to use whatever as drums. Then Anna F., Viennese Beauty steps in. Just humming in the beginning. Then the fire seems to burn stronger. Their faces glow in this magic light. Deer and rabbits pop up and listen to the voice. I'll spare the sleepin butterflies...DJ McChill If it is about someone who loves music and loves to chill - McChill will be mentioned. Good mood granted if this guy hits the turntables. Songs you'll never 4get. The hard part is that you wont know/remember the songs names cuz there are many. He knows them. So you'll have to come again. Who doesnt/wouldnt love to?
