Free Wi-Fi (Thanks Amena!), God, Jesus, The Spirit. God's power in my life. Loving God more. Spreading God's love. I'm loyal to my Alma Mater, Clark Atlanta University. I love cooking and painting. Love, and how I can give it more freely. I love going out with my girls. Homiletics, Womanist Thought. The intersection of Homiletics and Womanist Thought. Sushi Rolls that are crunchy, going to the movies in the middle of the day, renting DVDs on Friday night, going all the way to San Antonio to lay in my mom's lap and run to my dad when he comes home from work. I can't wait to but a house so I can host dinner parties and pray out loud. I can't wait to start my Christian rock band...omg it's gonna be crazy! I like dancing and singing.

Everyone needs to read The Autobiography of an Ex-Slave Written by Himself by Frederick Douglass. Everyone also needs to read The Souls of Black Folk by WEB DuBois. The Identity Crisis in Black Theology by Cecil Cone, The Coldest Winter Ever by Sista Souljah. The Bible, especially the Old Testament so we can understand our roots and be clear about what God is and is not saying presently. David Walker's Appeal. One of my mentors, Dr. Teresa L. Fry Brown, wrote this book called Weary Throats and New Songs, that's about Black Woman Preachers. It's really good. Their Eyes Were Watching God. Tenderheaded. Prayers for Dark People by Bro. DuBois.
My mother and father, Della and Theodore II. For loving me and being God's perfect representation as I've grown up. Jason Taylor, for the time you gave, and are giving, to me. My sister, Cloe, for doing the impossible and surviving triumphantly. My grandparents, Rev. Alvin and Vivian Evans, and Alice Guidry, for teaching my parents what they are teaching me. My spiritual parents, Bishop David M. Copeland and Rev. Dr. Claudette Anderson Copeland. For teaching me the things and the ways of God, believing in what they see in me, and going the distance. Rosa Parks for saying no. Harriet Tubman for fleeing. Madame CJ Walker for making what she had work FOR her. Every single Black woman that has dared to be heard, be seen, run from self-endangering situations. Jarena Lee, Louisa Woosley, and every Black woman that has dared to be a prophet, an evangelist, an apostle...for raising their voices on God's behalf, and making it possible for us to do the same.
