Fall to Fly is a by-product of multiple projects and multiple minds. Formed in the spring of 2006, Scott Kearney (vocals/ guitar/ keys fx) was leaving a band that he felt was jeopardizing his musical and creative integrity. Knowing his full capability and sheer will to harness it, he began to write for months on end. He felt he was ready to show the world his craft and began to recruit other members to share in the art.
A long friend of his came into the mix, but as another guitarist. Craig Livingston came into the band as another creative mind to spice up the artistic range. Since then they realized that this was a piece that would be most beneficial in the writing process and for the band. Torey Pirolo later came into the lineup as bass. (Escape Artist, Jaime's Smile)
Fall To Fly is a 4-piece indie rock band with influences ranging from The Mars Volta, At the Drive In, Tool, Circa Survive, Dredg, as well as Coheed and Cambria. Now as a three piece they are in the process of recording their debut EP “Late for the Sky” due in early Spring. They also plan on going on tour in early Summer.
Time is a man-made device that man themself worships or as in a god worshiping his creations. We feel there is no time limit on artistic abililty, mindset and life itself. Carpe diem is what some call it, we simply call it living. Nothing should ever bound oneself, especially time. Your only bounds or limitations should be your own will and needs for self-preservation.
FALL TO FLY is the collision of 4 completely different beings and worlds that have journeyed a majority of their lives collecting clues as to where they may be in the near but distant future- an answer to the question of completeness- a solution to all of our ailments and problems- a cure.
FTF is an illusion of what good the world can bring and an up ringing of hope for what may come- an epiphany- an escape from reality, a dream- another chapter. These 3 worlds have been dormit for the past 20 years and have now just awakened.
