Polar Sounds are a five piece acoustic/rock/indie outfit based in Melbourne who have gigged with some great bands. For example, legends such as The Meanies- when L Meanie got beat up for gettin his Johnson out; Jet and the Cassanovas at the Duke, Riff Random- some unforgettable nights with awesome musicians.
For those wondering where-the-hell-are-they?!....well while Taita disappeared for an overseas gig in december last year, then got married in march we all kept on writing and the result has been more than enough material for another 12-tracker. In order to get the time and headspace to record, we've put a lot of gigs on hold for the time being, but work has been progressing well and we'll have a preview track posted here soon. Is it any good?...we shall see....it's definitely darker than the last batch. The same approach applies - every song gets what it needs, no cringe factor, no clams. We're pretty confident it'll be received as well as the first CD!!
In summation, and in the immortal words of Willy Wonka, "The suspense is killing me. I hope it will last."
