ROCKET the puppy landed at home today! (06 FEB 07)Still wandering around myspace and stealing things from other people's pages. My background/setup is compliments of HD, so props to you and your link! And HD, to quote you in your immortal words, "I'm ready for a cocktail..." (can be said after something sucks, or in celebration...that's the beauty of it)...and thanks for the slide show, Chris...I get to see people when they are at their worst, sick and almost dying...and some of them who aren't so sick and not dying, but still at their worst, if you know what I mean. Being an ER physician is a second career for me...or more like a fourth or a fifth...but it's a great job that I really enjoy...being a doctor is what I do, but it doesn't define me. I have alot of strengths, but my Kryptonite is probably a good meal and Happy Hour cocktails that are 1/2 priced with friends...I can kick back with an ice cold beer, or drink gin on the rocks, a martini, or a glass of wine. To paraphrase my friend, Jim, both things in common and differences are what make people and relationships with them interesting. I can't afford to be judgemental in my profession, so I can relate to almost everyone. One of the hard lessons learned is that life is short...enjoy it while you can. Hence, when I get the time, I like to travel to all areas of the U.S. to visit friends. It would be great to go overseas. Of course I would have to take pictures, like the ones below... My Interests

Weightlifting (I wouldn't call it Bodybuilding, more like Working Out...I'm not big enough...but trying to get back into it)...trying to get lean more than anything now..., Tennis (yeah, I know, but I was pretty good), Golf, Baseball, Cooking, Eating, Traveling, Motorcycling (yes I own one, and no, it's not a crotch rocket), and other social activities that usually involve killing liver cells...my English Bulldog puppy Brutus, who died when he was four months old, (see my blog), may he Rest In Peace...Here he is on his first day home...A Tribute... I'd like to meet:

Anyone - people that aren't totally closed-minded or conceited...other people, gals and guys, who are into fitness and bodybuilding, and/or that are encouraging and motivating, and of course, Roger Clemens because I've also been called an unstable meathead......Gerry Butler because he's down to earth, about my age, and hilarious......and Branch Warren, because simply put, he's HUGE......and hopefully soon, Jerry Beck because he's got a creative mind, he's extremely talented, he's a fellow Ohio boy, and an all around bad ass...

Music:

Anything really...everything in moderation...

Movies:

I tend to like action flicks and epic films...I hadn't been to the theater in months...and time continued to elapse...but I went and saw 300 and liked what I saw...go see it! It brought me out of the woodwork and got me to pay 8 bucks...like Big Jerry says, it's worth every minute and every penny...so good that I took my nephews and saw it again! Happy to see that my boy Gerry has a hit on his hands and is finally getting the recognition and the accolades he deserves...he's always been one of my favourite actors...

Television:

Reality TV Junkie/addict (a select few, not just any mindless drivel), Okay, Stan, I'll admit it...Project Runway, ER (even though it's not really like that...well, not all the time...), any of the ESPNs, TLC or Discovery Channels (shut up), and occasional DIY stuff, along with FoodTV...I tend to channel surf...if it can keep my attention for more than 5 minutes, we're good to go...I'm too many seasons behind for most series...especially on Network TV...Thank God for HBO on Demand and a DVR...but they will all come out on DVD eventually...

Books:

Do you mean besides textbooks, journals, and reference books?

Heroes:

Mom and Dad (both docs), my buddy Tony in the USMC (ret.),
