About Me

I wear many hats right now! First and foremost, I am a wife to Mark and Mommy to Jordan. Mark and I have been married 5 years and Jordan recently turned 4. We currently live in Sandy Springs, but are seriously considering moving north a little to the Roswell/Alpharetta area.

My "day job" is divided into 2 parts. I am the Executive Assistant to the President and Vice President of a local commercial lighting maintenance and repair company, and the Executive Assistant to the CEO of a multi-million dollar real estate development company. Both are wonderful and demanding, making the reward that much greater! I love my job, my bosses and the people I work with.

Of course, my passion will always be designing beautiful vintage-inspired women's clothing for my own company, Savera, which I am still doing on the side. In fact, I will be shooting my Fall/Winter Catalogue very soon! I graduated with Honors (believe it or not!) from Shepherd High School in Shepherd, Texas, went to Sam Houston State University in Huntsville, Texas, and eventually made it to the heart of Houston. I have been in Georgia for 5 years now.

My Interests

Designing, cooking, reading, writing, playing with my little boy. I love to travel, but haven't gone outside the US recently. I spend a total of several weeks in Asheville, North Carolina, every year, which is where my husband is from.

Music:

I like a wide variety of music. Two of my favorites of all time are Type O Negative and Lords of Acid. Most 80's stuff and the infamous hair bands, Poe, old Nine Inch Nails, old country (Hank, Skynard, Charlie Daniels, etc.), Gypsy Kings, the list goes on!

Movies:

I love Pulp Fiction! One of the best movies ever made! I also love Underworld.

Television:

I don't get to watch a lot of TV, so when I get the chance, I like the mind-numbing humor, like The Simpsons and (being a Texan myself) King of the Hill! I also LOVE Southpark and Family Guy! "Serious" shows that I like include Alias and 24. And of course, FOX News is the best fair and balanced news channel in the world!

Books:

Not too much time to read these days, but I'm a bit of a nerd when it comes to reading. (Non-fiction, political, other countries and their business trends, etc.) Currently reading "Your Best Life Now" by Joel Osteen...it's PHENOMENAL!

Heroes:

My mother is definitely my hero! She is perhaps the strongest, most intelligent and most talented woman I know. Congrats on her becoming Mrs. Edmundo Acosta and being a mom to Kristy, Eris, Olivia, Natalie, Bianca and Me, and Jordan's Nana!
