About Me

David John Todd.
Hi there. So you want to know a bit about me? Well here goes: Most people call me Toddy and I like them for doing so. I'm 17 years of age. I'm an alright person I think. You may think so too if you give me a chance. You may also think I'm a complete dick aswell, but that's fair enough. I am probably neither cool or uncool enough for you. I am me. I like to think I am an individual, however I think it would be too far to say I am a maverick. Because although I am independent in thought and action, I allow myself to be influenced, in order to broaden my scope of things. As I think the majority of people do. I try not to judge on first impressions even though I do make them. I think you'll get the wrong idea of who I am if you create an opinion of me solely on the first time we meet, 'cause I'm not that straight forward. I have a wacky side and a serious side, aswell as all the in-betweens. I can be a hand-full. I like to think I'll have time for you, if you have time for me. I suppose I do have strong opinions on certain things and I'm not afraid of voicing them. I'm also a fairly confident person, so I'll probably be the one to break an awkward silence. I have a broad, easy-flowing imagination. I think invitations are ace, as well as warm welcomes. A smile can make my day and a hug my week. I prefer get to know a person and let them get to know me before anything happens between us. I am an Explorer Scout, and no matter what prejudiced views you hold on scouts, I honestly couldn't care less, because I have had some of the best times of my life and met some of the most amazing people due to scouting, and I hope to have and meet many more in the future. I am a Buddhist, which doesn't mean I walk round in an orange robe at the weekends, humming at random intervals. Rather, I see Buddhism as a way of life that I can relate to and agree with. I am a PTS. Infact, I am probably an SP. I can solve a Rubik's Cube. Summer is my favourite season. I can see this being the best summer yet. The fairytale ideology of a pic-nic with friends in an open, green field, with a blue sky above, skattered with fluffy clouds, topped off with a happy, round sun, still fascinates me. Music is important, but it's not everything. All genre's suit a different situation, and so I don't just stick to one. I like it when bands do covers. I still don't know who killed The Zutons. I'm at Runshaw College and I like it. Doing Maths, English Lit, Economics and Accounting. I have a few ideas for future occupations, but nothing is really set in stone. However, I am pretty much certain I want to go to uni after college. I like to see the weekend in with mates, which is always a good laugh. They're amazing and fill my life with good times and laughs. They're better than your friends. Alcohol is clearly the way forward. I like nice smells and tastes, that remind me of things. I want to fly a kite. My favourite number is 32. I would like to say it is due to some complicated, philisophical reason, but i can't, i just like it. I sometimes draw manga when the feeling takes me. In my spare time, I am a super-hero. Anyway, I'm going on about nothingness now, so for any of you that have read this far - go you! And no, may I add, I have never heard of paragraphs. [=
Carpe Diem.
Have a nice day.

My Interests

I've got dreads!! My babies were born on the 6th of June 2008! Mucho thanks and kudos to their creator Lizzie! +D. Because they're fairly new, they are preety frizzy and are gona take alot of work and stuff to keep them under control. Will take a fair while to start looking good and properly 'dread-like'. But I'm willing to wait it out, cos - ahh, dreads man! Main reason why I got them, was I think they look amazing when they're fully mature.

I'd like to meet:

Anyone really who's up for a laugh and are generally pleasant. Who you are, I don't mind, just bring smarties! [= As for famous people, there are a few. Some because I just have a particular liking for them, others due to my curiosity. To name a few: I'd like to meet Hannah Murray, who plays Cassie in Skins. I love her characters personality and think it would be cool to see what she's like in real life. Another is Kris Marshall, from Love Actually and My Family, basically because he's just a funny guy. The comedian Omid Djalili is hilarious! I love his stand ups because he takes the piss out of himself, which I think is quality. So it would be ace to go see him live. Would be awsome to meet the Bungie team who created the Halo trilogy, so I could give them a pat on the back well done for stealing my life. Many of the people I have already met would be on my list to meet again. Such as my old form tutor: Mr Collier. Partly to hear his thick scouse accent, but mainly because of his mint outlook on life. Would also be amazing to have a reunion with all the mint people from NorJam!

Making Shapes_

"Invisible Pink Unicorns are beings of great spiritual power. We know this because they are capable of being invisible and pink at the same time. Like all religions, the Faith of the Invisible Pink Unicorns is based upon both logic and faith. We have faith that they are pink; we logically know that they are invisible because we can't see them."
Steve Eley

Music:

I don't really have a genre which I stick to, although I suppose I listen to alternative/rock/acoustic type music most often. I usually listen to music that mirrors my mood. I do struggle to name a top, say, five bands if I'm asked. The list, in no particular order, would probably look something like: Blink 182, Dashboard Confessional, Iron Maiden, The Prodigy and Pearl Jam. Although the likes of the Chemical Brothers, Enter Shikari and Motion City Soundtrack, are up there aswell. I'm also into some golden oldies such as Queen and The Beatles.
My profile song usually reflects my current mood.

Went to Leeds Fest this year, which was a pretty awesome 5 days! The lineup was amazing, bringing to mind some more quality bands - RATM and Metallica, who have to be the best live bands I've seen.
