About Me
Natural, started making music already as kiddy when Ray Kajioka (his mother gave him
his name from the Soul and Jazz-legend Ray Charles) had just fun to jingle on each object
around him that sounds. ...I have had music in me at all times... Reason enough that Ray
Kajioka's parents present him his first Yamaha keyboard at the age of 14 years and so
he started to produce professional music.
The day came that Ray got his first contact with Detroit-Techno at the legendary club Tresor in Berlin. He loved the classical Detroit style from the very first time on. So there is no question which influences set the basic elements in Ray's productions. Of course, it's not just the Small Yamaha that made the sounds at all. Meanwhile new synths and drum machines got their own space in Ray's home that finally built it up to his studio... new stuff... new sounds... new releases...
The now Berliner produced some releases on Kanzleramt Music, Müller Records, Television
as well as on Dave Angel’s Rotation Records.
Since 1995, Ray Kajioka had been playing as DJ and live-performance act through many
clubs, parties and bigger events in Europe and Japan. Among other as resident-DJ at the
past Oxyt Muzikclub in Wittenberg (1996 - 1999) and Global Village in Dessau (2000 - 2004)...
