Step Express Recordings, record label of electronic music was founded in November 2002. It is the first label from Toulon (France) working along with BreakBeat, Jungle and Drum'n Bass acts.
Drum'n Bass, which is a synthesis of reggae, hip hop an early 1990's techno music, is at the present time exploding in France, when it has been widely broadcast in Britain for several years.
The lack of fitted structures and the will to take part in this cultural move naturally led the Step Express crew to set up and launch its own record label.
Step Express Recordings is aiming to help, produce and promote junglist artists from the South of France.
In action for some of them since as early as 1997, its members have played in numerous venues and bars in Toulon before organising their own live performances.
The Step Express Crew is composed of:

Metod MC (Original MC)
Stalefish (Drum'&Bass)
DJ 2D (Break Beat)
In spite of different origins and backgrounds (selectors and MC in reggae dance hall for some, rappers, raveparty DJs for others) each of them brings to the others his own influences and all of them work together on a common musical identity.
The Step Express crew have also been leading since 1997 the radio show "Dragon Step" on the Toulon radio "Radio Active", on Thursday nights from 10 to 12, a mix of jungle/drum'n bass and break with MCs, guests, promotion, parties and gigs information.
