I have always wanted to be the best at what I do, since before I was even 10 years old. I may not have achieved the elusive top spot every time, but I did attempt to hit it every time.The uniqueness to my approach is how my path developed. My over-eagerness to compete, win and standout created my distinct method of engaging myself into a task. Clinched teeth, white knuckles and desire – I was determined to make something happen.I saw the prize in my mind. My youth and inexperience was my Great Wall; pure desire, enthusiasm and passion took me to a different level. Today these same traits, with greater experience and resources, fuel my drive.Some of my proudest moments are undoubtedly the successes achieved in school and my professional career. Yet, it’s the missteps and side-line journeys that continue to shape who I am and what I do. A few of the achievements would not have happened without learning from those real-life experiences. I took my cues from everything - big and small. As a pre-teen, I realized my ability to capitalize on solving a problem for someone. When golfers lost their golf balls in the woods, or the water, behind my house - I solved their problem. I quickly rounded up lost golf balls in a bag, walked the course and offered them to golfers. Suddenly I was one of the most popular people on the course.In high school that energy grew. The business class teacher noticed my ideas, along with my vigor. At his urging I joined the DECA business club and loved every minute of the class. In my first entry into the City’s business presentation competition I took first place with my demonstration. The taste of success was a good one. I knew my direction from that point on.It became evident during my college years that I needed to develop my sales abilities. Soon, I became an account executive for one of Rochester’s pre-eminent business process outsourcing firms, The Sutherland Group. My goal was to become the top selling AE on my team. Within six weeks I was the top seller by opening over 50 new accounts. Management selected me to assist sales and operations training, for the launch of a new sales initiative, because of my consistent top 10% performance each month.Another great opportunity soon opened up for me after attending Northwood University. I joined the sales division of the world’s largest hosting provider. My focus on consultative relationship selling intensified during my stay at NTT/Verio; the quality and volume of sales introduced me to an entirely new realm of clients. The desire to learn more about sales and technology continued to peak.My personal network, the changing Internet market and the opportunities ahead of me were solid enough to build my own “home.” That home became Extreme Internet Results www.extremeinternetresults.com
