Collin Marrero began his professional musical career on the stages of the Connecticut Cabaret Theatre, working his way up the ranks from chorus boy to leading man. Collin has played over 40 roles in a five year time span, allowing his stage presence to grow strong as a performer. With this as a platform, he has been able to take those experiences and use them to his advantage as he transitions into the musical worlds of R&B, HipHop and Pop, which was always a first love. Collins vocal range spans over 4 octaves, allowing his high range to be a very powerful instrument. With influences like Etta James to Aretha Franklin, to the modern day R&B artists, such as Whitney Houston, Mariah Carey & Deborah Cox, and vocally comparable to Christina Aguilera and the like, Collins unique vocal talents are now being passionately applied to working on his very first untitled album. He has successfully begun to raise awareness of his ambitions through the marketing of his professional demo, continuing performances at the Connecticut Cabaret Theatre and performing in statewide vocal competitions.Collin has also had the opportunity to sing for the American Idol Producer, and now So You Think You Can Dance judge, Nigel Lythgoe, who despite his reputation for negative feedback, granted Collin the compliment that he has an amazing talent and can definitely go places in this business. With that in mind, Collin will soon begin to perform throughout the Northeast region with the confidence that you too, will find his talent to be amazing.
