About Me

Unmasqueraded is a musical project founded by Dominik S. who is also the sole permanent member to date. The purpose of this project consists in the musical and lyrical reproduction of a world of thought and emotion which is constantly repressed by a compulsion of conformance within everyday life. Thus, the main lyrical themes include severe and global social criticism as well as introspective reflections of the individual suffering from its existence within an offensive and unforgiving world.The most recent compositions head towards a modern (Death-) Doom Metal direction but also implicate a wide catalogue of other influences including calm and atmospheric minimalism. Influences: Emotions and thoughts based on deeply personal experiences and the most disillusioning impressions from the world we encounter in everyday life. Musical inspiration can come from any kind of emotional music that is capable of moving me.
Sounds Like: The more recent material could be described as an emotionally dense mixture between modern (Death-)Doom and extensive calm or even minimalist moments as well as some experimentation with different stylistic elements. The mood of the music is characterised by debunking negativity but at the same time it gives room for new perspectives within the lyrics and sounds.
