my name is tasha, not short for natasha. all in all, i haven't really been myself lately.
my life was destroyed by a girl i used to call one of my best friends. despite our years of ups and downs, i stood by her side and supported her through her regrettable marriage to a man that beat her and cheated on her regularly, and also through her abortion at 5 months pregnant last january, which was explained to everyone as a miscarriage.
regardless, sometime back in april/may her husband was pulled over for driving while intoxicated. as a convicted felon, that left him subject to more jail time. instead of being a real man and taking responsibility for his actions he had his wife, my "friend", help him get out of it. apparently, the only way to do this was to betray me, my roommate, one of our best friends, and my best friends boyfriend.
she willingly gave the nashua police station our information and introduced me to a man that she "worked with at the hotel". he was this guy in his early to mid 30's, brown wavy chin-length hair, always wore a baseball cap, who drove a silver car (maybe a ford taurus), and went by the name of tom. later i find out he was an undercover detective in the narcotics division for the nashua police. his name was ron to the other 2 arrested with us, but his real name is todd martyner.
between 4:30 and 5 pm on july 17th our best friend and my bestfriends boyfriend were both arrested. i tried skipping state, but was inevitably pulled over and arrested at 3 am bringing a friend home from the airport. my bail was set at $50,000 and i sat in valley street for almost 2 weeks until i made bail 2 days before my birthday. i paid for my roommates lawyer and bail, and everyone was out by the 31st.
however, because our names were in the paper and our mugshots on the news from here all the way to cleveland, ohio, i've continued to loose everything. my roommate and i lost the new house we had just been approved for, i was evicted from where i was living, all my money was gone, i lost my roommate completely, and, recently, i totaled my brand new volkswagen. oh, and i can't forget to mention all my friends. because of this, my friends either thought that i was the rat (despite the fact that we all knew it was her), thought that i would rat them out, thought they would get in trouble for hanging out with me, or they thought up some other rediculous story.
now i'm living in a studio apartment smaller than my old bedroom, only because my mother has been incredible enough to support me, with six cats, driving my shitty saab again, working at target, and i'm going crazy. my "friend" is still with her husband, who i garuntee is still banging his ex and beating the shit out of her, and is now pregnant with twins.
keep in mind this is only what has happened to me, nevermind all the shit everyone else has been through, and it was all to get a dwi charge dropped for a piece of shit man that deserves to be in jail and his herpe infested wife that waits until over half of her pregnancy to decide she's going to kill her child.
even if i were to magically only be charged with 1 of my 6 class a's, which would never happen, i'll still never be able to get a real job, go to school, live in nice places, or even leave the country. i guess that's where lotalty gets you.
