About Me

I am a sometime student of Counseling Psychology at the University of Southern Mississippi. I am happy to have my wife back with me and my kids. I enjoy playing with my kids, drumming, reading books, card games, dancing, playing RPG's, and a few computer games.

My wife and I have found something that we never thought we would with her more pagan outlook and my more shamanistic outlook on life: We found a church that will accept us for who and what we are! We have become very active in our church, and we are both considering entering into professional ministry. This is still in the consideration stage, but who knows? At this moment, our church has an extremely generic webpage at http://www.CGUUF.org and we have a church newsletter through Yahoo! at http://groups.yahoo.com/group/GulfCoastUnitarianUniversalist Fellowship/ (I know it is a long name, but hey!)

My Interests

I have a decided interest in pottery, even though that interest has been curtailed by the lack of a kiln... I also love reading, mostly a combination of science-fiction and fantasy - Anne McAfferey, Mercedes Lackey, Robert Asprin - these are the authors that come to mind first.

These interests have taken a backseat to the 2 things that take most of my time... I am active in trying to rebuild the church that I have found. At one time this church was very active in civil rights. So much so that it was firebombed. Membership has been up and down since, but is starting to rise again! I think having a family with kids sticking around helps- we attract other families with kids... The other primary concentration is my 2 children. They are the handfull any 2 kids are...

I'd like to meet:

We would like to meet open minded people. We are looking for both people to spend our adult (meaning away from the kids) time, as well as our family time.

Music:

any? all? Well, not quite.Since I like other rap, and other country, I guess it is the content of what is said that I don't like, not the style of music, but...I do not appreciate "gangsta rap" - I really don't care if you can bully your way through a very short life, and feel you must brag about treating the people in your life horribly... All that means is that you are a selfish, self serving individual who shouldn't be allowed on the street.andI do not appreciate "twangy country" - If there is a tear in your beer, and it bothers you that bad, get a different beer. If your dog "got runned over", bury him and get a puppy... Yes, life is full of obstacles... work your way t through them!
