About Me

Well...what can I say about myself? Most people would not consider me boring. I've been around the block a couple of times. I'm a veteran...an ex-cop...I've driven in the demolition derby...I belong to the NRA. And that's just for starters. I hang out with comedians. They are fun and interesting people...always thinking. I have worked for the government in one capacity ot another most of my adult life. And yes...I own guns and camouflage clothing...be afraid...be very afraid. I have one son, and he is my main source of pride. He's 24, and serving his country in the Navy aboard a submarine. Poor baby is stationed in Hawaii. But, I'm a devoted Mom so I just suck it up and force myself to go visit him. Someone has got to do it. Well, that's all I'm gonna say for now. I'll probably change this thing periodically just to keep you on your toes.

My Interests

I like guns. Yeah...I know that's weird, but I like them. Target shooting is a blast...pun intended. I also like muscle cars...I have a 68 Malibu. And cooking...I love to cook and I'm darned good at it. And I love wine. I grew up just outside of the Napa Valley and the wine country is still one of my favorite places to go. I'm mostly a Cabernet kind of girl. I love playing Scrabble. And last but not least...I love stand up comedy.

Osama Bin Laden and Kim Jong-Il...I have something for them.

Music:

I love lots of different kinds of music. From Glen Miller to Dean Martin to the Beatles. I listen to Star 98.7 pretty much every day. I love the DJ's...oh excuse me...On Air Personalties Lisa Foxx, Tom Mitchell and Jack & Stench formerly from the Morning Show. Of course now I listen to Adam Carolla & Danny Bonaduce in the morning...they are awesome!!! I pretty much like most variations of Rock. Movies:

I love Clint Eastwood Movies...all the Autsin Power stuff...really love Robin Hood, Men in Tights. Never miss a good Dean Martin/Jerry Lewis Movie on the Old Movie Channel. Brave Heart was awesome. I thought the Da Vinci Code was well done...but as usual I liked the book a little better. I think you "get" the movie better if you've read the book. Mostly I like stuff that makes me laugh, but I have varied tastes. A Cary Grant movie with a nice glass of Cabernet...I'm in Heaven.

Television:

I don't watch very much TV. I don't really know what most of the current prime time stuff is. I like CSI, the one in Las Vegas. I hate reality TV...it's NOT REAL people!!! I like the old movie channels, TVLand...stuff like that. And yeah...I know that's not real either.

Books:

I love to read. After reading the Da Vinci Code I ran out and bought everything Dan Brown wrote. More recently I have been totally hooked on Nora Roberts writing as J.D. Robb...The Death Series. Awesome. I tend to vacillate between smutty romance novels and stuff like Dean Koontz. There's no rhyme or reason to my reading choices.

Heroes:

My Mom...if you knew her you'd know why. My girlfriend Suzanna...she's just always on my side. Lord Carrett, comedian...he did such a wonderful thing for the family of one of my best friends that I loved him before I ever met him. My Wicked Blonde friend Laurie...she's my rock. My girlfriend Deb...she just loves so much. My girlfriend Shelita...she's a great listener, and sometimes I need that. My Aunt Penny who recently passed away...she rescued me once. Let's just say that my friends and loved one's are all my hero's in some way.
