If forgiveness equates to divinity, then I need to be worshiped -@ the very least- as a demigod.

About Me

I've been a medic since 1998.
If you make me laugh, I might tell you about the lady who swallowed her glass eyeball. If you buy me dinner, you get the wine bottle story... I have my own training center called River City Health Educators, through which I teach CPR/First Aid/AED/Blood Borne Pathogens, etc. If you ask me to perform "mouth to mouth" on you, my answer is: sure......... drop dead.
My most favorite color of all is purple.
Almost anything bright or sparkly attracts me so long as is isn't neon-ish.
I am convinced that my right leg is longer than my left, and I have the smallest teeth of anyone I know. I've been on an Ethiopian Food kick as of late, but my culinary interests change as readily as my hair (though usually I sport some varied shade of auburn). I can however say, with categorical certainty, that I totally despise lima beans. I am whatever I feel @ the moment. My exact emotional value is almost always registered directly onto my face- and if by chance you fail to recognize its presentation I will share my inner contemplations
in some other manor- believe that.
I wear my heart on my sleeve.
I am honest
I am very confrontational.
I am very moody.
I NEVER do the speed limit.
I am very loud.
* If you want to stay on my good side...
DO NOT ever criticize my driving- or reactions to
other people's driving choices* You wanna see me smile---effin make me. I adore getting my way but need resistance as much as I need to breathe. I can drive an ambulance, have a quiet dinner with friends, steer a tugboat on the James while drinking Grey Goose (that I purchased @ a bulletproof ABC store in the ghetto), have breakfast with the fuzz, and go to the Farmer's Market all before going to bed (Ian... you were there that morning...)
I can have an absolute blast @ a 7-11 if I find myself so inclined
(once had a disco @ the one on Auburn and Cary St.). When I am in a familiar place, I frequently endeavor to deliberately locate a new vantage point from which to observe it. I enjoy seeing everyday things from a new perspective.
I try not to take too much for granted.
It is difficult to offend me... but I can be irritated- and I do bite.
Though I am one of the only truly spontaneous people I know... it takes me for-friggin-ever to get ready- go figure.
I don't care who you are, where you came from,
or where you're going-
so long as you follow through with the promises you make.
I will do anything for those I love.

I walked through many times on the way to school...

I'd like to meet:

I like my men like I like my coffee... ground up & in the freezer

Anyone interesting and for the most part un-annoying. If you do not know under which category you fall... you're probably neither.

Don't add me purely for the sake of adding people. I'm not like a friggin penny you just happen to glance @ innocently laying on the sidewalk. I am more like the thumbtack that got stuck in your foot causing you to look down and find a free ticket to the damn Galapagos Islands. So ask your self- Am I feeling froggy? Then jump...

*F.Y.I.- I effin adore roadtrips so if you think you can inspire me... then by all means- bring it.

*If you guys wanna check out an artist we think is going to end up way too famous for our little scene Go find Dean Fields among my friends and click his space. As far as my personal auditory habits are concerned lets just say it's completely variable and ridiculously lengthy. Everything from: The Shins, Concrete Blonde, Bad Religion, 50 Cent (got a save following a cardiac arrest doing CPR to "In Da Club") Oasis, Nina Simone, Placebo, Dethklok, Echo & The Bunnymen, Ministry, Skinny Puppy, Ray Lynch, Metallica, Cabaret Voltaire, Interpol, Linkin Park, Nada Surf, vintage Madonna, NOFX, Frou Frou, L7, Flaming Lips, Morcheeba, Arch Enemy, Depeche Mode, The Pixies, Jimmy Eat World, Mindy Smith, Fudge Tunnel, Indigo Girls, Massive Attack, Maroon 5, Pantera, Squeeze, Joy Division, Sonic Youth, Neutral Milk Hotel, Bedouin Soundclash, Rancid, Beastie Boys, Portishead, NIN, The Cure, The Ramones, to Gershwin--- the list goes on and on. I'll even admit that I'm all too happy to groove when an Ace of Bass song pops up on the radio. In general- I feel the same way about Country music as I do lima-beans, but you just never know with me. The one constant is that I prefer mixed compilations over straight albums... most likely due to the fact that I am in possession of a rather undersized attention span.

Movies:

I'm going to have to go back to Garden State here (great flick). Little Miss Sunshine was fabulous. I recently saw The Life Aquatic movie and found it refreshingly amusing. Super Troopers absolutely deserves a special mention... roflmao. Some of my childhood favorites include, but are not limited to: The Last Unicorn, Better Off Dead, Empire of the Sun, Dark Crystal, Steel Magnolias, Dream a Little Dream, and Raising Arizona.

I adopted a cute lil' tempura fetus from Fetusmart! mm..yummy.

Television:

I do have to admit that I am drawn into the "I love the 80's", "Best Week Ever!", and like programs. Who knew VH1 could be so right on? I routinely watch Law & Order and Paramedics (yup- I'm ghey). Pretty much anything Adult Swim... Family Guy, Aqua Teen, Frisky Dingo, The Boondocks, Robot Chicken, Venture Bros etc. I try to catch Scrubs, and Sex and the City whenever I can. I used to be a ginormous fan of documentaries detailing subjects of the scientific variety, but I have found that as of late they have been re-packaged for the more basic pallets-- thus rendering off much of the flavor that I used to relish, and dulling down the edges that once comanded my concentration. The raw value I thrived on now made too bright to see whatever the curiosity was all in the name of more universal consumption. NOVA is still pretty kewl though I suppose.

Remember... it is unwise to play Leap Frog with Unicorns. Thank you.™

Books:

"I stared at the woman flying through the trees. Her head was forward, chin raised, arms flung backward like the tiny chrome goddess on the hood of a Rolls Royce. But the tree lady was naked, and her body ended at the waist. Blood-coated leaves and branches imprisoned her lifeless torso..."
"Ten yards into the woods I passed a seated figure leaning against a mossy stone, knees flexed to his chest, laptop computer @ his side. He was missing both arms, and a small china pitcher protruded from his left temple..."
**Excerpts from Kathy Reichs latest novel "Fatal Voyage". In these she is describing the site of a plane wreck the main character is responsible for investigating. She draws from her experience as a real-life forensic anthropologist. I highly recommend her as an author.**
Books, poetry, and other such related items are too numerous to list on this already heavy page. Ask me sometime and if I am feeling like I should want to have the conversation I will.
