About Me

State of New Jersey vs. SleepyEye Entertainment Avail. Tuesday August 15,2006 @Ikes Barbershop - Burlington,NJ Unity Hustlers - Willingboro,NJ Sound & Cell - Willingboro,NJ Tunes- (Rt.73 behind T.G.I Friday’s) - Marlton,NJ Lori’s - Camden,NJAvailable Online September 8,2006@iTunes,Napster,Rhapsody,MusicNet,eMusic,Sony Connect Other Stores: musicdistributors.comSleepeye Entertainment began as SleepyEye Productions in 1994 by a Dj named Tom T Black Freeman and his cousin John jr Scott. The two began making mixtapes and beats in their grandmothers South Jersey home. As the years went by Jr and T-Black went there separate ways and the Sleepyeye name was all but dead. That’s until T Black went to Fairleigh Dickinson University and met Simon Perez. T-Black and Perez rekindled the SleepeyEye dream through a Sunday night mix show on WQFDU. The show ran for two years ,and was the most listened to show on the station . After 2 years T-black left college and Sleepyeye was once again on the back burner. Then in 2003 T-black and longtime friend Aaron Big Rim Bright started SleepyEye Promotions a promotional and advertising company. After a few successful events Rim and T-black looked to expand SleepyEye and began managing local rapper G Dollaz. The management deal eventually fell through and Rim and T-black were without an artist, until Rim found T.N.T( T. Streets, N.u.t The Life, T- Boogz) a trio from Burlington City. The 3 were not only signed to a management deal but became the first group signed to the newly formed SLEEPEYE ENTERTAINMENT LLC. SleepyEye was headed by T-Black, Rim and Cash, another longtime friend who was also one of the hottest producers in New Jersey. After recording over a dozen songs T.N.Ts debut album was put on hold and N.u.t Da Life began recording his solo album.Life was facing a lengthy jail sentence for a car jacking that happened prior to him signing. Life’s album The Real Life was completed before the judge sentenced him to a term of 10 years with 85% in July 0f 2004. The original tracks from the T.N.T album were split among the three. When Life went in T-boogz began recording his album . Boogz album Makin of a Millionaire will be completed early 2007. G Dollaz was sentenced to 4/11 in 2004 for drug distribution. He appears on SleepyEyeye mixtape vol. 1 , as well as on March Madness. Prime although still a rhyme beast has split his attention between producing and rhyming. He was the first artist signed to SleepyEye and also has his own imprint label called Head Hunters. He’s increasingly been producing more hits for the label including the T-Boogz hit Love , look out for him on the compilation on both sides of the boards. With Life and Dollaz down SleepyEye was in need of fresh talent and found it in the form of a 16 year old battle rapper Traffic, he can be heard on the SleepyEye March Madness vol.1 and will also appear on the State of New Jersey vs. SleepyEye Entertainment compilation. He also made the beat for the smash hit "How we do it in jersey." You can also catch his beat game and wordplay on the album out right now. That should hold you over till summer 2007 when his solo album Life in The Fast lane’s debut.
