Influences: I Belive what you were raised up with and lived with is the strongest influence of all. I write Drum n Bass and to be fair I would call DnB the junkyard of all styles of music ;) Think im wrong?? Ok then, where do the breaks come from?? Rock, Funk, Electro, Hip Hop The list is so vast so all in all all music is my influence!! The synths also?? Techno, House , 80s pop music, Electro again the list is huge!! I grew up through all the stages which I am very proud to of been a part of..One of the biggest influences for getting my tunes the way they are is Simon at the exchange..If you want to learn how to master?, get your tune done by him because he does help you make it easier..I basically learnt more of him than I have off anyone in the whole music scene fullstop so much respect to Simon Davey who I will add is also a very nice person to talk with about production..As far as Music artists go i will start with who has influenced me the longest...
Here goes.. Grand Wizard Theadore, Paul Hardcastle-Zero one was a dope L.P, Afrika Bambatta, Man Parrish, Malcom Mclaren, Jazzy Jeff, Grandmaster Flash, K K K Kurtis Blow!!! Man is a legend, Kevin Saunderson, Dave Stewart, Morgan Khan at Streetsounds for pushing a style of music into the U.K that Im proud to have been into which is electro, Hank Shockley, Rick Rubin, Dr Dre, D Mob, Bomb The Bass, Killa Instinct, Katch 22, Gunshot, London Posse- Rodney P, Hidden Identity, Bushkiller, Hijack the terrorist crew!, Simon Harris- got me into using samples and scratching records, Norman Cook, John Carpenter the film maker- His synths are old school but Im so into them, Way out west, Chicane back in the day before chart success and Coldcut!!!The list could go on for years so I will finish it off with some Drum N Bass influences.... Kryptic minds and Leon Switch - Si your a legend thanks for the support through my hard times ;) Goldie, Rob Playford at Moving Shadow, Renegade Hardware camp, Dylan , Tech Itch, Dom Angus- Mans a legend also, Freak Recordings, Outbreak Records, Bkey, Grooverider and Fabio, Bailey, Tee Bee- Pioneer of a certian sound if you ask me ;) , Sabre, Trace, Loxy and Ink, Digital and Spirit, Ed Rush and Optical, Ram records, Klute, Barcode Recordings, Chase n Status, Kenny Ken and Ray Keith..Again im into far to much Drum N Bass so I will just leave it at that although you will notice no Jump up artists in the list as Im not into that side of DNB...
Biggest influence of all time is life itself and i also have to thank my Mother and Father ( R.I.P) for raising me musically aware and for the support also cos it hasn't been easy for them listening to my style of music throughout the years ha ha!!! Good old N.W.A ;) ..
