From the tender age of 4, Sherrisa Stewart has always had a keen interest in all aspects of the music industry and as you will see has traveled a road filled with one major accomplishment after another. Bottom line, Sherrisa is a complete artist that has a strong buzz and media presence with the experience and exposure to match.
Sherrisa impact on the UK music scene was immediate.
::: In 1999 and again in 2000 she beat thousands of hopefuls to secure a place at the prestigious Royal Festival Hall finals as a member of the invitation only Choice FM/ Sony Rapology under 18s talent contest.
::: Then in 2001 came the UK Unsigned Talent Search where again Sherrisa would secure a place in the finals and given the opportunity to perform at the prestigious Fairfield Hall.
::: In 2002, Sherrisa won the famed BBC Urban Music Award that is presented to an individual who expressed exceptional talent within the urban field. This event was hosted by the world renowned BBC, and spearheaded by MTVs Trevor Nelson.
As a result of being presented with the prestigious BBC Urban Music Award this placed Sherrisa on an exclusive government funded Fast Track London Artists Scheme which aided the financial development of Sherrisa as an artist. Now working with a series of established producers ranging from:Ignorance(Craig Davids Whats Your Flava) to De Influences: Curtis Lynch Junior (Shola Ama) just to name a few, Sherrisa emerged as a recognized artist throughout the UK.
At this time Sherrisa was approached by a number of major labels, but opted to sign with an independent Green Dragon Media (GMD) that had expressed a strong interest well before the success of the BBC accolades. She immediately began working on her forthcoming album Dont Hesitate and produced the urban hit Sunshine and the later released Me (both produced by Silvastone).
Both releases secured rotation on most urban, pirate and mainstream radio stations including:
