SMITH, Shamaia Lanay Shamaia Lanay Smith, born October 19, 1984 to Gloria Frink and Barry Smith, was called home to our Lord and Savior Wednesday (March 14, 2007). Affectionately known as "Shabudah", Shamaia was a lifelong resident of Hartford before moving to East Hartford in January of 2007. She attended Bulkeley High School and loved to write music. She was blessed with a creative talent for hairstyling and envisioned of opening her own hair salon. Shamaia will always be remembered for her childlike smile, sweet personality and her genuine and loving spirit. Besides her parents, she leaves to mourn her passing but forever cherish her memory, one sister, Monique Frink; three brothers William Hamilton, Jercarie Porter and Robert Devon Smith; four nieces, Quannesha, Ashantee, Oshanea and Illiya; two nephews, Jercarie Jr and Shyheim; maternal grandmother, Allene Frink; paternal grandmother Ethel Smith; seven uncles, Edward Allison, Ricky, Clayton and Boyd (Tracy) Frink, Shepard, Dorian and Peter Jeminson; nine aunts, Bernadette, Cynthia, Gwen and Shawnee Jeminson, Geneva Frink and Viola Harvey Stone, Barbara (Anthony) Bagley, Christiana (Robert) Figgs and Regina Smith-Canty as well as a goddaughter, Tydia, special cousin Fallon Robinson and a host of other relatives and friends. Shamaia was predeceased by a brother, Barry Smith Jr, and grandfathers, Wille E. Frink Sr. and Shepard Jeminson Sr. Homegoing services for Shamaia will be held on Monday, April 30, 12 noon, at Carmon Windsor Funeral Home, 807 Bloomfield Ave., Windsor.
