I can saw a woman in two, but you won't want to look in the box when I'm through.

About Me

MyGen Profile Generator
"I want to be able to look at and into a juniper tree, a piece of quartz, a vulture, a spider and see it as it is in itself, devoid of all humanly ascribed qualities, anti-Kantian, even the categories of scientific description. To meet God or Medusa face to face, even if it means risking everything human in myself. I dream of a hard and brutal mysticism in which the naked self merges with a non-human world and yet somehow survives still intact, individual, separate."
--Edward Abbey
Lately, mysteriously often I am mysteriously happy, happy to the point of joy for the first time since possibly infancy. I have not been stranger to slightly mysterious sadness occurring at unmysterious frequency. I am a recovering agoraphobic a year past housebound and thriving.
Some people find me scarily intense (or so I like to flatter myself), possibly because I'm pathologically honest (honestly) and there is no subject I will not broach (well, maybe a few, but I'm not telling which). The thought of meeting someone else as eager to delve into their self, their wants, expectations and emotions is probably my favorite flight of fancy (that and life as a mineral). I practically despise people who are not up-front or make themselves hard to read. I like people who like people who like sore muscles, uphill treks and leafy greenness.
I feel compelled to dance whenever I hear music, even in unsuitable public settings. I've never been drunk and never will be. People who can't even entertain the thought of nonhuman animals thinking irritate me. I am also irritated by bigotry, most patriotism and the idea of pinnacles of evolution. I love spiders more than I'll ever like you. After a late start (see sentence containing the word "agoraphobic" for explanation), I'm finally in college and am working toward a career in environmentality (scientific).
I like the texture of water. I like eyes and hands. I wish humans had fur. I wish right now I was swimming. Swimming's best naked.

My Interests

CURRENT MOON moon phases
pink gorilla suits, reading excessively, writing constipatedly, mixing metaphors, ecology, conservation biology, evolutionary biology, biology in general, dancing in inappropriate situations, dancing in appropriate situations, spiders, sun, big bright beautiful moons, crescent and gibbous moons, wilderness, walks and hikes, escapism, journals, purple and green, daydreaming, antique clothing, silver toe rings, swimming at night, swimming not at night, universal availability of birth control and abortions, preservation of bio- and cultural diversity, education, cultivating optimism, black cherry seltzer and vanilla seltzer, lazy days, self confident people for contrast, the eschewing of drugs and alcohol, other agoraphobics, other atheists, my adulterous love/hate relationship with modernity

I'd like to meet:

Ideally, I'd like to build an army of folks in gorilla suits to accost people who take shit too seriously.

Barring that, I'd like to meet at least one person willing to explore the possibility of traversing the suburbs while barely touching concrete or asphalt (inexpertly measuring the maps of coyotes and deer), who wouldn't be afraid to storm into shopping malls and sing loud songs or recite poetry dramatically. In the mall, we'd strategically place wrapped presents of empty beer bottles and grass clippings and hold giggling mad-dashing races through department stores, making faces at anyone who didn't understand we were only illustrating more blatantly than the shoppers the absurdity of modern existence. We'd wear clown noses and shower caps; we'd wear biohazard suits; we'd wear underwear outside our clothing.
