Ukrainian varenyky are boiled and resemble to various degrees Polish pierogi, Russian pilmeni, Italian ravioli,Jewish kreplach, or Chinese wonton.Borshch is a soup based on beetroot with meat and other vegetables; served with sour cream. In general, soups form a very important part of the Ukrainian diet. They are often thick enough to be a meal in themselves. Clothing--Clothing: Business attire in Ukraine is generally formal and conservative. Adoption Center clothing should be casual, yet conservative. Jeans are fine. For court appearances, clothing should be business casual. Slacks and a shirt with a collar for men (ties optional); conservative dresses for women. Visit to orphanage, walking in Ukraine, or any other day, clothing can be whatever is comfortable. Jeans, shorts, T-shirts, and dresses are all fine. Ukrainians can be seen wearing a variety of all types and colors of clothing; however, most women prefer to wear dresses and skirts more than pants. Ukrainian clothing is not quite as sturdy as American clothing. Most Ukrainian clothing is washed by hand and hung out to dry. They usually will not survive washing machines back home.
Chernobyl Disaster :( :( :( :( :( :(On April 25th -26th, 1986 the World's worst nuclear power accident occurred at Chernobyl in the former USSR (now Ukraine). The Chernobyl nuclear power plant located 80 miles north of Kiev had 4 reactors and whilst testing reactor number 4 numerous safety procedures were disregarded. At 1:23am the chain reaction in the reactor became out of control creating explosions and a fireball which blew off the reactor's heavy steel and concrete lid.
Not really heros, but i love my culture, which is mostly russian. Although many things are influenced by russia, we are creating our own unique style.The one hero i do have is Sergei Bubka, the greatest athlete in the world, And the president of our beloved sports committee.
