About Me

I kind of miss the Peace, Love, Dope hippie years;
the spirit of which can still move mountains....
w e l l okay ... perhaps only if you're blasted out of your mind!
These days laughter is my drug of choice,
especially after having been foolish enough to volunteer for service in the Navy.
No, no, seriously now...
I'd have been in Hollywood if the Navy didn't afford me the financial and mental stability ( okay I heard that ! LOL ) of an Electronics Career!
Say, "Ohhhh....... Ahhhhh!"
I find paying guitar and singing (with lots of reverb. LOL) extremely soothing to the soul. Occasionally I jam along with CDs, even though it bugs the heck out of me when they mess up the lyrics!
My son Dan is all "growed up" now and it's really time to start looking for a new old-lady to eventually share myspace with.
We'll call it ... ourspace.CURRENT MOON moon phases

My Interests

Art, music, guitar, camping, backyard evening campfires, biking, hiking, canoeing, kayaking, sailing (Sunfish champion racer... no boat now though), surf casting (on the beach, jetty, pier, or rocks), flee markets, digital photography/ restoration, computer building/ repairing, audio video editing, and minor website Tom-Foolery...
All too much to list here.

I'd like to meet:

(1) A few of the neighbors who never seem to
come out of their houses.

(2) The "Big Guy Upstairs".

(3) E.T.

(4) The Flying Nun

Beach ArtSpace:
It's okay... Go ahead...
drag a toe in the sand !..

Music:

Just about all flavors: Rock, Jazz, Blues, Fusion, Reggae, Pop, and even a taste of Country.
Just keep me away from intentionally inflammatory "music" like Gangsta Rap cRap, etc... If I want misery, I'll call my ex-wife OR put on some REALLY "Down and Out" Country tunes. LOL

Movies:

That's why God made DVD players and recorders.
Office Space, The Wizard Of Oz, John Candy Movies, Cool Hand Luke, Woody Allen flicks, Back to the Future, Gladiator, live concert footage, Biographies (people fascinate me)...
That's enough for now.

Television:

Not much... 1024x768, baby ! The death of TV occurred when Seinfeld called it quits and high speed internet became an affordable reality.

I recently dumped cable TV, saving enough money to buy ONE tank of gas per month !!!
"WOW! Now that's really N I C E, isn't it ??!!!", he delivers with a raised eyebrow and a dose of playfully poised Seinfeldian sarcasm.
Anyway ..... I spend more time computing than watching TV; besides, my ancient rotary antenna has survived yet another New England winter.

Books:

Do they still print them ? chuckle
How about Technical Manuals!
Ohhhh yeah !!!
I do most of my reading online these days, but I do subscribe to Consumer Reports, PC Magazine, and Money.

Heroes:

My buddy, Christ
(don't miss the candid shot in my photo section)

John Lennon

Carl Yastrzemski

Russell A. Bagshaw

Abraham, Martin, and John.

Favorite Foods:

Italian (pizza , veal or chicken parm, linguine, manicotti, etc), barbecue (anything can be grilled!), seafood, prime rib, green beans, fresh corn, mashed potatoes, salads.

Those Eyes

General Labor Day Weekend Notice:The past week has been hell for me. Last weekend I had a major frontal sinus attack that left me with severely red eyes. The whites were blue. Lid edges red as a sunse...
