JANAi (Jon I.)

Easy come, easy go... although it doesn't seem so.

About Me

Hobbies/Interests
I play a lot of video games, especially single-player RPG's. I also love DDR (Dance Dance Revolution) and other Bemani/rhythm style games.
I'm very interested in Japanese language and culture, and hence I love anime, manga, and J-Pop (Japanese pop music). Anime genres I prefer are comedy, sci-fi, and slice-of-life.
I also enjoy web programming. I'm most familiar with PHP and MySQL. Other computer languages I've worked with are C++, Java, BASIC, VB, Prolog, and Scheme.
Education
I went to Holy Trinity High School and graduated from the Class of 2001.
I went to NYIT Old Westbury for 2 years. I transferred to Adelphi in Fall 2003 and got my Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science in 2005.
Work
I work for Cablevision as a Knowledge Management Specialist. The job consists of writing and organizing information in a presentable and easily-understood fashion. There is also web programming involved.
Yes, I get free cable. No, I will not give you free cable.

Computers, programming, anime, video games, DDR, RPGs, science fiction, fantasy, music, movies

I'd like to meet:

Anyone who respects me for who I am and doesn't criticize me or my interests, is fun to talk to, and isn't annoying. I especially enjoy meeting people who I share common interests and/or values with. Even if I don't know you personally, feel free to add me or send me a message if we have anything in common.

DO NOT ADD ME UNLESS I EITHER KNOW YOU PERSONALLY OR WE SHARE COMMON INTERESTS. If I do not know you personally and you add me, I will check your profile to see if you are into video games, anime, J-pop, etc. and if you're not, I will deny your request.
