Uni G (a.k.a) Hungry Ham was born in Harlem New york city. Lived some of his early years in the Dominican Republic from where his roots are. Coming back and forth to the U.S.A at the age of 10 his parents decided to live in the U.S. In New York city where he grew up for the rest of his life sorrounded by a world of drugs and guns it wasnt easy for him not to be involved in it plus his father was a bigtime drug dealer in the 80's. At the age of 13 he was already in a couple of street gangs for survival and protection it was a way of life in the early and mid 90's. By the age of 16 he was already a street Hustler wich was basically his only option or mqds and at around the same age he started to like rap and hip hop. Well the only thing some spanish kids from around were doing was reggaeton and latin rap wich at the time was very underground he started messing wit it alittle bit and started writing some songs,doing talent shows and latin festivals. In 1997 when to the studio for the first time and recorded in a copilation album called Dj Mafa released in the same year not having any help or succes at the time he had to stop making music completly and continue the hustle to make money. Didnt touch a pen never again but always with the music in his mind. With the streets of N.Y getting hot and almost all of his peoples getting lockt up,at the age of 21 he decided to move to Atlantic City Nj where he met a latin hip hop group called La Company. Became really good friends with Vita from the group and the group itself and it was an automatic conection. Very impressed by the way La company raps,he felt in love with the group been all dominicans and never heard a flow like that in spanish still till this day no one raps like them he started to write hooks for La Company and again felt in love with the music but this time it was different because they were all dominicans they sound dominican in the songs it wasnt reggaeton(no disrespect) it was just hip hop with a hip hop flow in spanish something never been done before ever. Been that they all were born in D.R and raised in New york with dominican roots dominating both languages fluently like no other latin raper. After making some hooks for them he satarted rapping again with adifferent flow and style,they were in Atlantic City's underground for a while just making mixtapes with over 200 songs recorded and never realeased!just in Atlantic City. And if you ask them why they will tell you they dont know!!they were just scared of people not acepting it it was to new its still to new the flow and the lyrics are to ahead of time thats how they felt so it was never released. Since the year 20001 Hungry Ham was making music again with La company. and La company been doing their thing since 1994 La company made a label called El hijo de yayo records in 2002 wich they all created and been recruiting artists since. With over 10 artists from the same breed in 2005 Hungry met Flynt and put him in,and created a group with him. Flynt was born in New york city as well and he is Dominican too,this groups and this label are on the come up for real this is something real new and every one who loves hip hop and is latino and know about the hood and streets and loves to dance in the club will love their music they will make history because no one raps like this guys in spanish.
