About Me

The name is silly - the band is serious. Mixing the best of today's Top 40 hits with everyone's favourite dance music and party tunes from days gone by, LIP is the newest sensation on the Halifax scene. With a fresh sound and hip tunes, LIP rocks the house, pounding out songs that you NEVER thought you'd hear a band play. A schizophrenic set list tosses the new with the old, the rock with the rhythm, with non-stop pack-the-dance-floor favourites that keep 'em comin' back for more.
The pedigree behind the band backs up the claim that you will simply NOT find a better party band anywhere else. Period. With years of experience as professional musicians, the band's core is composed of three unique talents. Halifax's hottest rhythm machine, Chris Munro, beats the drums to the killer keyboards and crazy loops of stuck-in-the-80's Jeff Roberts while former metal-man Peter Dolomont tears up the stage with his blistering guitar antics. Topping off the mix and fronting the show is Halifax's freshest face with a HUGE set of lungs, Libby Cooze. Words alone do not suffice in describing the raw talent of this tremendous singer.
