About Me
The Shell Cartel name originated in Rio Claro, Trinidad, West Indies, on or about sometime in the summer of 1992, when a group of youths in the area formed a soccer team that adopted the same name. The members of the team lived in a housing scheme that was originally a residential area for employees of the Shell Oil Company. The 'Cartel' part of the name was used as way of expressing the popularity and 'control' that the youths held in the neighborhood, and the supremacy of the team that was formed to participate in a local night soccer competition. Since then, most of the members of the Cartel have migrated to the United States, thus helping to spread the name of the group. Now it is time that the group embarks on a more ambitious path of further success and achievement. Shell Cartel Entertainment aims to provide quality entertainment services to the Immigrant and American community of Brooklyn, as well as other surrounding boroughs by facilitating functions that promote the cultural identity of the people.
