Welcome to the world of MERMAID ENGINE, It is best described as a rock band with electronic influences. Currently, MERMAID ENGINE is not gigging, touring, practicing, eating, or even together as a band at the moment.My name is JAY MOON. Now, a little insight on MERMAID ENGINE MERMAID ENGINE was a derranged underrated local band that struggled though the early 21st century and fought for recognition through a time period where airplanes brought down buildings and talent in Vancouver was at an all time low, I would even push the envolope a bit further as to say say that maybe elctronic music mixed in with rock wasn't very popular at the time. We did how ever get some exposure through a mountain bike movie called "Diggin it". Part of the North shore mountain bike extreme video collection found in most mountain bike stores around the world.Since MERMAID ENGINE broke up in 2003, these songs sat around my apartment. Until now. I thought "to take advantage of myspace, and upload this site for you to enjoy a brief moment of JAY MOON history.
