I am here for Friends and Networking

About Me

As far as MySpace goes, I've always thought of it the same way I think about such things as Pokemon and Harry Potter. Their ripped-off, dummed down versions of something I liked better in the first place. Pokemon (the card game) ripped off of Magic: The Gathering in the whole CCG craze to the point that whilst playing Magic, ignorant passers by would inquire if we were, "Playing that Pokemon game"; the thought of which still makes my skin crawl. Harry Potter was fictional literature targeted to a younger reading group at the time I was reading the new Tom Clancey or Michael Chrichton novel whenever one was published. And MySpace, what many would think of as the "original" mass networking / fart around with your friends online site, seemed to take to many of it's cues from DeviantART... but without the cool art. So for the past couple years, I've ragged on it as hard as I could about MySpace being a cult, and yes, I'm still not drinking the Kool-Aid. But I'm here; poised by the window to make a hasty retreat if called for, but I am here.

My Interests

It's summer, so that means I've got some free time to play with. And by play, I do mean World of Warcraft. I suspect that I'll have a few folks down there on my friends soon enough from the fair land of Zul'Jin. *** Overrunner: 60 Shaman *** Headcrab : 60 Priest *** Lurker : 59 Rogue *** These three guys keep me fairly busy in game. Lurker's trying to keep focused on getting enough rep with AV to get something good. Overrunner wants one more piece of Earthfury. Headcrab just gets neglected for the most part, but I dust him off to run heavy healing as favors for friends sometimes.*EDIT* Jeremy is otherwise occupied, so Enchantres will jump in to mention that Overrunner is 70, Headcrab is 69, Lurker is 62, and the newcomer Lowmanna is 70.

I'd like to meet:

Merry Christmas! .... .. ..

Music:

Mostly metal, with just a dash and sprinkle of flavor from elsewhere. I don't need to throw down the long laundry list of bands like a certain DJ I know. Go to www.pandora.com and make a radio station based on the bands Dream Theater and Demons And Wizards, and you'll get a feal for what I listen to.

Television:

Ok, funny story. Last semester the way my roommate and I had our room set up, there was a dresser between my seat in front of the computer, and the TV as he'd watch it from his bed. So I never realy watched much TV, but I listened to a WHOLE lot. You could say I developed an understanding of folks from back before the time of Television, where they'd gather 'round to listen to the radio. I can watch almost any episode of most things from Adult Swim, South Park, or the History Channel, and it'll be my first time seeing it, and my second time hearing it.

My Blog

Epitaph to a Toyota

Well, today was fun. I got to experience my first major car wreck! Well, by fun, I mean enlightening. It sucks, don't get me wrong. That's right, the Camery is totaled. Gone. Bye-bye. Front. End. Miss...
