scroll down just a little bit
"heroes are for admiring not meeting" said geddy lee and i agree...so that means nobody. i am not here to meet anyone and i will only communicate with people i know or know of so don't waste your time or anyone else's... unless this be of musical relevance. keep in mind that since i have met people including joe strummer, robin zander, half of the current version of iron maiden(bruce dickinson, nicko mcbrain and of course adrian smith), the original grand funk railroad(mark, don and mel), jason bonham, all of sonic youth(talking to lee ranaldo was better than any music class i ever attended)and (most recently) chrissie hynde and martin chambers of (the)pretenders plus said hello or similar to adrian belew, john entwistle, half of supergrass(gaz & danny), alan white, trevor rabin among others(that's right among others) you'll understand that statement to be somewhat untruthful. again, if you don't know who these people are you shouldn't be reading this since i probably wouldn't want to talk to you.
since you made it this far i'll be polite and actually refer to those i would most like to meet: DAVID BOWIE... PAUL WELLER... STEVE WINWOOD... STEWART COPELAND... JIMMY PAGE... ROBERT PLANT... JOHN PAUL JONES... IAN GILLAN
(PT doesn't count... i perhaps could have in '93 but i didn't want to be potentially disappointed)
visual jukebox/guessing game/history lesson:
literal and figurative(which is really witch?)
contrary to speculation no complete recording of this show is in circulation. no AUD, no SBD. these two videos contain the only 3 songs from that show to be seen. going by this, i'd have to say it was one of their best shows... if not the best show they ever played.
the best bowie song of the past 15 years.
the new steve winwood video...thanks to suzy for this
this is gemma hayes. she's irish. she's absolutely beautiful. i would so marry her.

the collected works of antonioni, kubrick and hepburn(audrey not katherine)although i'd rather watch a music documentary than anything else. i should name one movie not alluded to above and that would be 'rumble fish'(an uncharacteristically impressionistic film with the ultimate impressionistic film score courtesy of the super-cool stewart copeland)also i check out films with trevor rabin musical scores whenever i can(he doesn't get enough credit so i'm mentioning him here as well as the band he was in above in the music section)
i don't have much of an interest in tv except to watch stuff on dvd, the mets(not often), the dolphins(just as not often), and obviously mostly music stuff.
music, biographies... even better when it's a biography of a musical artist, right?
i just completed reading 'the jam: a beat concerto'(the authorized biography) by paolo hewitt(revised(1996)edition)("new" forward by noel gallagher plus "original" forward by paul weller) and 'cash: an american man' by bill miller(the first name of the subject of the book is johnny)
if you scrolled down this far you know who they are since you just read their names as they're listed above. one i'd like to mention is:
Which member of Iron Maiden are you?
You are Adrian Smith, guitarist with Iron Maiden since 1981's 'Killers.' Known for style and precision onstage and off.
