Let's get this show on the road!

About Me

My name is now Christina Ellis although many of you from high school probably remember me as Christy Carter. I have been married for the past year. I met Jarred at Golden West College while we were both running for Student Council positions (no, we weren't running against each other). Our first date was Karaoke back in April 2000(He had no clue how much I loved Karaoke and that I had been a regular at our neighborhood Karaoke (Numero Uno's) in High School). We dated for 6 years before getting married (I wanted to finish school and we both wanted to have steady jobs). For the last two years and a half years, I have been working as a Paralegal at an Intellectual Property Law Firm. So what do I do? To sum it up, I file the necessary paperwork to obtain patents for inventions. Besides my full time job, I am also a Mary Kay Beauty Consultant. I give complimentary facials and makeovers and teach women about skin care. It is great because I can make money and help women to feel better about themselves at the same time. I have fun with it and it keeps me balanced since my full time job is just me, the computer, and a bunch of papers. We have two cats and a dog. We have a tabby named Sake (who spends most of his time hiding under our bed and attacking our feet) and a black and white cat named Miso (who loves to hide between the shower curtains and sleep in the bathtub). Recently, we got a Jack Russell Terrier that we named Ginger. It is my first dog (ever). I only had cats growing up.Here is my Johari window:

I'd like to meet:

I am looking to connect with old friends and acquaintances that I may have lost touch with over the years. I am always looking to make new friends. I spend a lot of time with my husband and would like to go out with the girls a little more. I would love to meet any celebrity (even someone who has been on a reality show).
What type of partier are you? Your Result: The Lurker

You like to go out and party, go to bars, concerts, etc - but stay more on the sidelines. You and part of the action, but people have to approach you more than you jumping into the middle of the action. You typically don't get 'hammered', just buzzed enough to come out of your shell and talk to a few people, usually other 'lurkers'. Large groups of people talking at once intimidate you and you tend to drift away from the pack often.

Music:

One of my favorite bands is:

Movies:

As long as they don't bore me, I will watch just about anything. It takes a lot to bore me. It has to be a really long movie and move really slow. My favorite movies are action movies. I love to watch comedies too.

Television:

For years, I barely watched any TV....and then along game TIVO. I would always forget to tape shows and I would forget when shows were on. Now, I can watch the shows whenever I want, don't have to keep track of when they are on, and can skip the commercials. Lately, I have gotten hooked on reality shows like American Idol and Last Comic Standing. I like to watch any Law and Order show. I have to also admit that I do watch What Not to Wear. It would be so embarassing to be on that show but the $5000 for a new wardrobe would be cool. Well, at least I don't dress as weird or crazy as I did in High School.

Books:

I love to read biographies especially autobiographies. I also like true stories (non-fiction). Since I was a Criminology major in college, I tend to also read a lot of true crime. If you have a read a good book lately, I want to hear about it.

Heroes:

Anyone who has battled cancer or any other chronic disease
