Film is my life. I love being on set, no matter what... whether it's producing, directing, or even PAing, I just love the atmosphere and the people that make life in Production constantly fun and exciting.
Other up and coming filmmakers who have a passion for story telling and making movies.
I'm pretty eclectic when it comes to music. I love everything from Rock to Hip-Hop to Electronica to stuff from the 70's and 80's, and Armenian folk music. Favorite groups are System of a Down, Bone Thugs N Harmony, Prodigy, Ray Charles, practically anything off of the Boogie Nights soundtrack, Djivan Gasparyan, Nine Inch Nails, Red Hot Chili Peppers, and many many others...
I also LOVE Pre Wacko-Jacko Michael Jackson. Thriller and Bad are two of the greatest albums EVER.
My two favorite films of all time are "Boogie Nights" and "Leon: The Professional." Aside from those I have a
bazillion favorite movies... everything from pop culture classics like Jaws, Indiana Jones, Star Wars... to foreign films like Crazed Fruit, Roshomon (love post war Japanese films) and Irreversible. Films from the second Golden age, late 60's-70's, are also some of my favorites, like Taxi Driver, Midnight Cowboy, etc...
There are some really good shows on T.V., but for the most part I stay away from Television since most of it is just repetative, mindless, demeaning... aw hell, I'll just let Judd explain it to you: ..However, I am a sucker seasonal DVDs and have been catching up on Nip/Tuck, which is really good! (Though I am a bit biased...). I also try to catch Real Time with Bill Maher when I can since I find it to be one of the few panel-oriented shows with some merit. And Bill's my favorite comedian.
"1984" by George Orwell is my favorite book of all time, no other work of literature has captured the atmosphere and explored the theme of totalitarianism since. Dante Alighieri's "The Divine Comedy" is a very close runner up, as it is the perfect commentary on the afterlife and who ends up where. Other books I love, Black Dog of Fate by Peter Balakian, Catch-22 by Joseph Heller, anything by Anton Chekov, anything by William Saroyan, and many others...
